If the price is below $1 who ever owns the sold option has to give me $1 per share of the stock I own if I exercise my option. If the stock goes above $1 the value of the option approaches 0 the closer we get to the time the option expires. |

View Quote Options are just that...they are contracts that give you the option to buy/sell at a specific price. A put gives you the Option to Sell at a specific price. If a stock is at $10 today. But you think it's going down to $5, you could buy a $9 Put. It's not really worth anything now, because why would you want to sell something for $9 when it's currently worth $10?. But if the stock drops to $5, you could exercise your Put at which point your option gives you the right to sell the stock at $9. You then buy the stock on the open market for the current value of $5 and then sell it to the writer of the Put for $9 and pocket the difference. The opposite of that is a Call, which is the right to buy stock at a specific price, and you basically reverse the above scenario when the stock goes up. |

Buying options also give you way less risk than buying a stock. However selling options.

hi i have been following this thread since the beginning. thanks for all the information, esp OP.
what is the best guess at a buyout price? and isn't it dangerous for these internet outlets to publish unconfirmed stock releases? i know the media publishes fake shit all the time, but sometimes they get sued for it. |
|
|
Okay, after hours volume is over 8 million shares. That can be indicative of something significant, unless it's not and a metric shit-ton of people bought into the announcement rumor for tomorrow. Seat belts and tray tables up, please.

AH is 13m+
Stock was high volume during the day, but mostly flat. The BS Floridian article came out well well ahead of pre-market today, there was typical MVIS high volume during the day but rather flat, high volume AH with resistance being pushed over. My simpleton mind says this AH is not due to the BS article I posted this morning. The webinar tomorrow might be driving it some. The more I look at Microvision, I’m personally thinking there’s going to be a buyout and it’s wise to hold. Wise to buy even now if you have some money you aren’t worried to lose. |

View Quote If you bought a put for $.75 cents and the stock falls to $.50 you are still negative $.25. Puts cost you money to be able to sell at a certain price. Today the puts for $1 were costing 20-25 cents. So the break even is about 75 cents. But if the stock starts dropping like a rock people will freak out and start buying puts above the actual break even price so they don't get stuck having to buy shares. |

The only reason to run it up after hours with no news is pump and dump.
It would be way smarter to buy during the day if you knew something was going to happen. |

Thinking about putting in a limit order to sell a chunk of my shares if the price spikes up. Maybe 1.40?

If this shit pops super high in O trading with no news. And then keeps riding down and up in AM you better watch out. As soon as the bell hits there is going to be a massive dump.

T minus 5 until pre-market, boys!
Gonna be a rough ride pre/inter/after I say. It’s going to be hard not to hold, but I think I’m gonna. |

Per reddit...
This twitter account posted an article that Microsoft IS acquiring Microvision and may announce it today, the 12th.... the same twitter account is followed by Microsoft... As I post this, we are at $1.12 |
|
|
And away we go!
I bet we see a good rise into the webinar, and a hard dump at about 1:30PM est if it’s not very exciting. Speculating, and I SHOULD dump my 14k shares then if it does... ...or I’ll hold until next week which I think is the wise decision. |

Damn this stock is ridiculous lol

What’s the play for today? I was thinking about INUV... I’m sitting on 700 shares of ZOM
Also looking at VISL and KTOV But not feeling confident enough to throw $1k at it.. I refuse to get back on the MVIS emotional roller coaster lol |

I bought 2300 shares of KTOV at 53cps. Nice to sit back and watch it do it’s thing.
Thinking about some more MVIS this afternoon when I believe it will dip again. |

I still have 100 shares of Mark that I'll dump at the open . Looks to be $2.25 or so.
My KTOV hasn't done much but my MVIS is up 22% from my buy in yesterday I'll sell around 1/2 at the open as long as I get $1 or more. The rest can ride KOPN might have some more to go so I'll try to trade that today |
