MVIS did really weird things for a pump and dump. It seemed to still go on after the news was told to be fake.

View Quote Well this is more than just a pump and dump I believe. CH being hired--unless with the intention of fraudulently pretending to try to sell the company--changes things. There was a significant pump and dump pre earnings call but I ultimately believe that this company will sell. Full or in part and how much TBD. It fell from .60 to .20 due to the corona virus fall and seems to have come back to normal trading pps plus a slight hype premium. All we need is an announcement or some truth out of this CEO and board |

I think sides have squared off and aren't selling. Or maybe tutes have enough of the shares that volume is low as are pps swings. I dunno. But I'm hoping for $1.20 before the asm so I can get my liquid funds cleared of profits ahead of the meeting. Unless they do not announce a merger this beast might go back to .20. And I don't think they will announce a merger/sale Tuesday. |

Anyone invested in MVIS, especially those with long shares.
@Osprey61 This is still very much a growing thread, so read it often over the weekend. If you believe these guys at Reddit who run the MVIS forum (go and two others) they apparently had a meeting with Sharma and the CFO. I have no proof but these are long term investors with huge stakes, definitely not stocktwits accounts created today. Link...game changer? |

Buy the rumor sell the news. Calls are the option for someone to buy a stock at a certain price. When MVIS was $1.80 they were selling for some crazy amount because people wanted to be able to buy the stock at $1 for a discount if it exploded up. If it kept going up you would have had to sell the stock for $1 but you would have also got option money. But if stock went down like it did you get to keep option money. |

Interesting, if the link I posted above is true I might sell it all ahead of the asm. Including my long term hold. Then buy back when everyone freaks out because no merger is announced. Sharma indicated he expected to be sitting there in late July negotiating the sale. So that tells me nothing is imminent. Make sure you check out that link. |

made a nice return selling Norwegian yesterday and buying back in at the dip around $10.20. Got into it early April at $8.46/share. |

I wouldn't say a long time even if it took until EOY. This isn't a company that sells and makes widgets. They have a highly technical set of IP patents and various possible interested parties wanting a piece of it. Lots of combinations or permutations and contingencies. All or none vs parting it out to various companies, etc. That has to take time. |

The thread now has a detailed debrief from each of the 3 participants.
It has also grown to nearly 300 posts of comments and questions. You can find the three guys posts pretty quickly. It tells me the MVIS C's think the value is in the billions, plural. Sharma's marching orders are to sell the compan, period. The sale will take time and will definitely not be announced Tuesday at the ASM. Late Tuesday and Wednesday might be a very good buying opportunity. I think I will plow back my profits in the IRA back into the stock and let it ride. Believe, don't believe, I wasn't there. So I don't know. https://www.reddit.com/r/MVIS/comments/gkitve/a_fireside_chat_with_sumit_sharma_steve_holt/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share |

If you care to share strategy. I'm thinking that I will see what it does pre-market Monday and maybe buy in for the day to catch what is hopefully a pre-asm run up. Then I'm getting this new investment out sometime Tuesday, perhaps in the premarket or first half of the day.. I will buy back in after the ASM, because of the bozos who will expect a buyout announcement Tuesday and panic when it doesn't happen. I'll buy back in late Tuesday or early Wed after the stock drops because waterheads didn't hear the buyout announcement. And then I will hold everything and spend my days smiling. I'm very interested in what you think will happen Osprey if they don't sell the company to a single buyer, which seems-imho- the way they are going from the Earnings call and reddit fireside chat. So my concern is the bots. Let's say that they announce 3-4 individual vertical sales at different times but don't give the proceeds to the shareholders. The price spikes on news and all the bots and long term holds trying to get even sell and drive the price back down. Effectively looting the proceeds. Is this crazy talk? It is going to be a crazy week. |

I read it, in it’s entirety.
ISZ, I’m with you on what I think is going to happen with the stock starting Monday. And my plans on what to do with my shares are very close to yours with the end result being a dump and a buy in. I’m most likely dumping all mine, and buying back in at the end of the day Tuesday/early Wednesday (I’ve no means of pre and after hours trading). So let me say this. The fireside is not only the most convincing thing I’ve read on the company, it’s also the most dangerous for shareholders (stakeholders lol). It’s convincing, if we’re to believe it: The fireside was posted less than 24 hours ago, and there’s now a frenzy of responses. This doesn’t include the lurkers like those of us giving it clicks...there seems to be many people coming to the same conclusion. It’s well written and informative, covering a lot of important points that were touched upon in past “news” and rumors. Here’s where it’s extremely dangerous: Regardless if it’s true or yet another attempt at manipulating the price of this stock, we may very well see the largest pump and dump we’ve ever seen come Monday/Tuesday. Reading it, it doesn’t take much for even a sub-average investor like me to read into it and come to the conclusion on what’s going to happen. I think it also causes us longs to take a serious look at our strategy, with the end result of many of us now willing to modify our approach. Here you are and here I am, now both willing to remain long so to speak...but we’re also willing to join in the dump, only to get right the fuck back in the boat and slow ride it to the possible merger/acquisition. What’s scarier is if this is yet again an elaborate scam to manipulate the market, cause us longs to dump to drive it down again, and catch less-savvy investors like myself with our pants down to where we won’t be able to buy back in on time before it spikes again...big players with their fingers on the trigger ready to snatch those cheap shares before we get a chance. Regardless, to me one thing is for certain. It’s going to be crazy next week. ETA and TLDR: Reading the fireside, nobody expects a buyout now. Three types of people at play in this: 1) Those (long and short alike) that read and believe the fireside, and will dump based on what we’re reading...share price drops hard. Even the ones that DON’T believe it know it’s going to drop the bottom out next week. 2) Those that didn’t read it, see the stock drop and liquidate to protect their gains...drops even more due to this. 3) The typical Twits, Robinhoods and other day traders that are savvy, and ready to watch it go crazy Monday. They’ll eat this up, knowing damn well they can dump and jump back in...drops even more, snowball effect, etc. My prediction: Slight run-up Monday and Tuesday nto the ASM. Around 12:30 Eastern time (thirty minutes into the ASM) on Tuesday, the bottom drops out and the rollercoaster ride begins. |

Not because I don't believe it, but just to remove some of the negative scenarios. My thinking this has additional validity is the three guys who are involved with the chat. These aren't users who signed up yesterday like all the other pump and bumpers. It would not be hard to track down WHO these three poster are and if this is an elaborate p&d it is criminal imho. They aren't giving opinion they are attributing statements and fact to the CEO, CFO and investor relations guy. I believe some news about something is coming monday in addition to the normal pre-asm fervor. I will try to flip some shares before noon Tuesday and see what happens. What a crazy stock. We have to beat the bots |

I appreciate all the information in this thread and have profited from it. I plan on being part of the early week pump and dump. If the stock drops later in the week below .50 I'll accumulate a long term position with my profits

The fireside did happen, those three guys have been posting on Reddit for years. We tried to put one on the BOD, and failed. Another is the primary mod, and the third controls a small consortium that holds almost 2M shares. CFO admitted they'd postponed share offering multiple times because of leaks (presumably by the financier) that caused massive front running. That's um, trading on insider information. Highly illegal. I about swallowed my tongue. If I remember from wine-time reading last night, the CEO told them the value of the company was several billion dollars. Each billion equates to about $7.40 a share of existing stock. They CEO/BOD must have been desperate to run a covert op like that. Geo (the primary mod) is also promising a huge surprise This has spun from tough to predict to almost impossible. There are wildcards everywhere. Still debating personal strategy. They're promising a sale by the end of the CY...that's a long way off, and offers some serious trading opportunity, if the R/S doesn't go through and if the shorts don't destroy the company first.
