You don't get it until the contract is closed.  But it shows your account value go up and down as the contract loses or gains value.

Being able to buy same day can earn you far more than $36 over the course of a year.

Also, and I don't honestly know, can transactional costs be counted against earnings for tax purposes?

pretty sure more reputable companies are in that market now, not sure INND will have much success -- though they may make the lowest priced option.

EDIT: And No, hearing aids OTC was Trump's move back in 2017?, it's just been slow walked by the bureaucracy.

EDIT2: FJB's EO says make drugs cheaper, media cheers.  Trump did same thing, he was called a moron because an EO wouldn't do anything.

What's the story with this one? I glanced at the options and they look funky. Limited strike price and weird lingo that says "NS - $0.0 cash in lieu of shares,  6 shares of TPST" which I have no idea how to interpret.

No idea. Don't even know what their business is. Saw a Reddit post about tripping the breaker to the upside and searched them on my TD account
Then I bought it. Couple hours later I sold it.

I'm watching them now.  You bought back in at 14ish...you think it's going to pop again on Monday?

Today wasn't terrible...we are slowly moving in the right direction.

I can't find anything on them except a bunch of useless pumpers on stocktwits. My limit order hit in AH for 100 at $14.35 so let's see where this ride takes us.

Very happy with my CLF shares today. If that nice pattern going back to the beginning of the year repeats once again, it will peak at $26-27 sometime next week. Next earnings is 7/22 though, and steel futures have been skyrocketing, so maybe it doesn't stop at $27?

I expect to see new posts from everyone who say they hoped the price dropped from $20 so they could buy shares.

We'll need to see a breakdown of shares bought/price paid this week.

ME is not one I’m day trading.  I’m fully expecting it to be that story about the guy that bought MSFT when it first came on the market.

The fundamentals on the sheer amount of DNA they hold (like your exwife) makes it a long term strategic play to me.

There has not really been anything to post about since his last post. MVIS has gone up and down a little in the past few days, no good or bad news happening.

Yeah I'm not too concerned about his MVIS thoughts at this time and that's not what I meant obviously.

I was asking to make sure the guy is alright and if anyone checked in on him and see if he's hanging in there and how he's doing.

You really think they are going to be that big of a deal? They aren’t the only ones in the game working with DNA stuff. Colleges have been into it for years. Hell I did basic sequencing myself as an undergrad in like 2001.

They didn't invent DNA testing, but they were among the first to monetize it. With the co-founder being the ex wife of one of the Google founders, you know she understands the value of data mining..

Throw in the billionaire they have pushing this thing and the marketing.. so, yeah.. it'll be a big deal.

Yes, I do agree with all the above points.

Adding in that they have the largest DNA database and people are paying them to hold/store that DNA.  There isn't a company that can catch up to them quickly.

With mRNA being the "new hot" thing and I also think that fundamentally healthcare is going to shift towards treating genes, they are going to become wildly important and profitable.  Moderna was a Street darling for a long time.  Their first 2 vaccines failed.  If you read reports, they cited "Not having enough data to conclusively test the vaccines"...that's DNA.  They didn't have enough DNA.  Think about the tech boom...as semi-conductors became cheaper, it opened up computing power which opened up hardware and fueled the IT boom.  Think about bandwidth...remember using a dial-up modem?  The internet that we use today would not be possible without bandwidth getting cheaper and cheaper.

That's how firmly I believe in ME.  I think ME is going to be the next IBM, MSFT, Motorola, APL, Alphabet stock.

That said, I can't predict when the rest of the world will catch on and the stock price will go boom...but from a fundamentals perspective I think they are way underpriced right now.

Full disclosure they are my second largest holding after MVIS.

Puh-leese. Haven't abandoned anything, we're just in the middle of some life-changing decisions and, to the greatest extent possible, I'm trying to take an active role in what's happening rather than just be swept along.

When my PT started going downhill they did an X-ray, and then a MRI. They found a softball-sized tumor sitting on the iliac crest of my pelvis. It's a soft tumor, which is why lots of PT and doctor palpitations never noticed it. Unfortunately, it has all the hallmarks of sarcoma, an uncommon cancer that often has it's genesis from a cancer in other parts of the body.

First plan was to ship me straight to Seattle, but my "team" wants a full workup that can be accomplished here. I'm headed for a biopsy, CRT, another MRI and more at this point to help them decide on a course of treatment.

I've truly led a wonderful life, and am trying to keep upbeat about this despite having a pretty good idea where this is going. Surrounded by good friends and a wife who loves me, so I'm as well prepared as one can be for what's coming. I will fight it to the end, and who knows? Sometimes miracles do happen...

Feel like I've made some good online friends here. Pretty much have my head screwed back on straight now, and will try to keep you guys updated. Thanks for the prayers and good wishes...Osprey.

This next week could be interesting.

2nd quarter earnings calls start.  Inflation numbers posted Tuesday.

Let’s just hope the Moron in Chief keeps his mouth shut and we get a rally.

I’m expecting strong earnings statements from those reporting this week.  A rising tide tends to float all boats.  Probably see the bulls rush back into the market.

Thoughts and criticism of my analysis is always welcome.

Inflation numbers won't be a positive, if they are reported honestly.  Given how this administration works, I'd not be shocked if the formula to calculate them gets "tweaked"

Good point.  They’ve been lying up to this point so I would expect them to continue that as well.  The market hasn’t had as strong of a reaction as I would’ve expected to any inflation discussion.  Maybe because the fed is signaling “damn the torpedoes and full steam ahead”.

CPI is now calculated solely on hotdogs which overall shows a strengthening dollar.

Again, please keep this in this thread. I have Tricare, and am pretty well situated to weather all this. Didn't want you guys to think I'd finally fulfilled prophesy and set anyone up while I snuck out the back door

I just wanted to say thank you.  You got me into trading, and even though I'm a tiny fish in a big pond, I've learned a lot here, and appreciate what you've done.  I never thought gambling would be so much fun!

X2. Without this thread I would of never gotten into trading and made a few grand profit so far. Guess I owe that to Mr. Osprey.

Yep.  Much better than those lottery tickets we were talking about a while back.

Thanks goes to Osprey61 for not only MVIS in this thread, but for all it’s become.

And also for bringing a lot of cool guys together like this.

Damn man you have a hell of a memory. Or I just have a shit memory

I vaguely remember that thread.

It is cool to talk about this stuff with a bunch of like minded dudes. I even brought stocks and retirement savings up to my team at work. Lit a fire under some of their asses who were well behind on retirement savings or savings in general. Pretty neat. We all there should be a savings class or economics class back in the school system.

Very true.  This is the thread that got me into the game as well.

Thank you and good luck Osprey61.
