Very happy with my CLF shares today. If that nice pattern going back to the beginning of the year repeats once again, it will peak at $26-27 sometime next week. Next earnings is 7/22 though, and steel futures have been skyrocketing, so maybe it doesn't stop at $27?

Throw in the billionaire they have pushing this thing and the marketing.. so, yeah.. it'll be a big deal. Yes, I do agree with all the above points. Adding in that they have the largest DNA database and people are paying them to hold/store that DNA. There isn't a company that can catch up to them quickly. With mRNA being the "new hot" thing and I also think that fundamentally healthcare is going to shift towards treating genes, they are going to become wildly important and profitable. Moderna was a Street darling for a long time. Their first 2 vaccines failed. If you read reports, they cited "Not having enough data to conclusively test the vaccines"...that's DNA. They didn't have enough DNA. Think about the tech boom...as semi-conductors became cheaper, it opened up computing power which opened up hardware and fueled the IT boom. Think about bandwidth...remember using a dial-up modem? The internet that we use today would not be possible without bandwidth getting cheaper and cheaper. That's how firmly I believe in ME. I think ME is going to be the next IBM, MSFT, Motorola, APL, Alphabet stock. That said, I can't predict when the rest of the world will catch on and the stock price will go boom...but from a fundamentals perspective I think they are way underpriced right now. Full disclosure they are my second largest holding after MVIS. |

This next week could be interesting.
2nd quarter earnings calls start. Inflation numbers posted Tuesday. Let’s just hope the Moron in Chief keeps his mouth shut and we get a rally. I’m expecting strong earnings statements from those reporting this week. A rising tide tends to float all boats. Probably see the bulls rush back into the market. Thoughts and criticism of my analysis is always welcome. |

They’ve been lying up to this point so I would expect them to continue that as well. The market hasn’t had as strong of a reaction as I would’ve expected to any inflation discussion. Maybe because the fed is signaling “damn the torpedoes and full steam ahead”. CPI is now calculated solely on hotdogs which overall shows a strengthening dollar. |
