We definitely won't hit $87 today. In fact there is no way we will even hit $18 today...

I'm sitting on a Aug 20 3.50 cc as well. Sens is up a bit premarket. It may get sporty.

When the world seems to be falling apart, there probably isn't as much enthusiasm about self-driving cars.

Of course, military AR headsets might be of interest....

Today is a good day to buy back my November MVIS $22 covered calls I sold
Just in case there's good news at the Germany show and we spike
I'll end up netting  about $100/contract

Those will probably be fine.  You usually don't get that much movement out of a buy ratting.  But its starting to look like people are taking interest in SENS.

On IBKR you have to subscribe to the Options Service, forget the actual name, otherwise it is delayed 15 minutes.
Nothing shows for me until 0845 Local.

All my other options were jumping around.  One had a crazy $.85  spread and showed me losing money.

Sense can't seen to break through the 50 day moving average  If it does we might actually see some good movement.  I'll make a profit on every option I sold on it.  I'm not worried if they do exercise. But I will probably roll anyway.

The volatility has been pretty low. That's why.  I sold some $4 calls for next month. They have been steady losing value.  That might change today.

Sens popping pretty good. Primium received per share (Aug 20, 3.50 strike) was .40 so in order for my cc to be assigned the stock would have to be 3.90 or better correct? It could be assigned anything over 3.50 though?

Ok. Set me straight. If someone pays a .40 premium to buy a stock at $3.50 and the stock goes to $3.80 and option is exercised the buyer is still -.10 in the hole considering the premium included?

Either way, I'd be happy if it assigns.

Maybe.   It depends.  The person who bought from you may have sold the option before for $1 and bought it back at $.40.

There is no way to tell.

All that is for sure, If the stock is worth more than the strike at close on the expiration date it will execute.

Got em at 12.97. There's been good support at 13 a number of times now so I think that's a safe buy. Plus got my cost down a little.

So if I have Puts that I sold that expire tomorrow are they automatically assigned or does the "buyer" have to choose to assign them to me?  Example:

I sold a $3 Put on SENS for $15.  I collected the $15 premium but do I automatically get the shares tomorrow if it's above $3 or do they have to choose to sell them to me which they obviously won't?

Why do you think you are entitled to shares at $3 if you sold puts with a $3 strike with a current price of $3.32?

edit: I think you wanted to guy calls maybe? Stay away from options until you realize what you're doing.

It varies by broker, but if they were ITM for the buyer, the could automatically exercise (ie. price under $3) but that doesn't seem likely. I think you just made 15 bucks.

If you sold puts you get to buy the stock at the strike price or lower
So if SENS is at $2.90 Friday afternoon you get to pay $3 a share
If it's $3.10 you buy nothing
In either case you keep the premium

Thats what I was thinking.  They are currently only worth $2-3 each so was thinking of closing them out for a $12-$13 profit each and using the capital set aside for them to buy other stuff on sell since they were cash secured.

What he said.

If you sell an option you have no control over what happens to the shares.  Puts won't execute unless the stock price is below the strike price.

Calls are easy to figure out.  This was my first toe dipping into puts so just wanted to make sure I was doing it right and what to expect at expiration
