Entirely unnecessary, and retconning the characters as gay makes no sense. I'm disappointed with what they did to the characters, but still bought the game. Supposedly it is optional and can be avoided. Blacksmithing is new, been trying to work out how to farm money |

Do a couple quests where you fight and you'll skill and equiptment up. Then go looking for bandits. I was at a point I had OK stuff, and saved right before two bandits. I was not good at the combat system so I decided I would "get gud". I fought those two bandits 50+ times before I won reloading each time. It is cool they do seem to use different tactics. Sometimes they would charge me, sometimes one would stay back and use a bow, sometimes they flanked me more aggressively than other times. I got some sweet gear from them including a nice smooth plate cuirass and alot of chainmail. I'm much better at fighting now, can take on 3-4 bandits at a time without too much worry. |

For those complaining about the age thing: https://www.historyextra.com/period/medieval/love-and-marriage-in-medieval-england/ `snip` Marriage was the only acceptable place for sex in the medieval period, and as a result Christians were allowed to marry from puberty onwards, generally seen at the time as age 12 for women and 14 for men. Parental consent was not required. When this law finally changed in England in the 18th century, the old rules still applied in Scotland, making towns just over the border, such as Gretna Green, a destination for English couples defying their families. I have not seen anything gay, but haven't selected anything for it either. It doesn't belong IMO. The age thing is nothing. |

I understand getting fired up about this kind of stuff, especially with all the crap thats being injected into games these days (case in point). That doesn't mean you get a pass to violate the rules here. This is not GD and there is a higher standard for what passes as acceptable conduct. |

Holy confusing bug. I'll try to explain without a spoiler. So I'm getting pretty strong just walking around killing bandits. Finally decide to do the stuff to go to the wedding. I'm at the wedding cut scene talking about how the wedding is going to be great by all, it fades to black, my controller vibrates for a second, and it goes to a new cut scene where I'm in a completely new location as a different character, then changes to a new cut scene back as Henry but in another completely location in alot of trouble. I have no idea what happened at that wedding because I never actually stepped inside or did anything. |

There's a lot of things going on at the wedding. |

You wouldn’t accept that answer in court. “He looked 18 before I fucked him, your honor, I swear!” Especially since in this case he’s already shown you his ID. The game series specifically tells you he’s canonically 15. Even put that aside for the moment. This scene should never have been in the game in the first place, because Vavra already told you there was no chance of that happening in the first game. He even got harassed for it by the usual suspects. So why is it here now? A little USAID money? The studio making him fag it up? His latent pederastic desires? Who cares? The change itself is the corruption. The fact that he’s underage just pushes it to undisputed evil. What it comes down to is that all of these excuses about how old he looks when you know how old he is are just that, excuses. It’s straight up justifying it because you want to play the game. That’s it. Don’t lie to yourself that it’s anything else. |

That’s it. Don’t lie to yourself that it’s anything else. It's a videogame. It's fake. It's not real. Thus his "age" is nothing, zip, nada. He doesn't have an age. Furthermore, in the first game, which I know you played, you ran around as a Teen (your words) fucking women left and right, some of which were very likely not 18 according to all the lore, and common knowledge of the times its portrayed in, and you were fine with it. So it's fine for you to screw underage girls as a 15 year old running around killing everyone, but only because the game doesn't specifically tell you they are underage? Or is it just because of the gay part? Because in the first game there were sodomites too. That said, I've not come across this scene because I'm not an idiot that chooses to fuck another man in the ass. I'll loot and pillage the land, murder bandits, and screw the local bath wenches as I go and not worry about any of this bullshit because it's a game, and it's fun. Don't know why you continually bitch about this shit. As stated earlier, had this been true kids, it'd be a different story, as many here and pointed out. Please stop. I was like hmm okay, teach me what you can please and learned what skills he could teach. Then I let him sit on his bench, and I slit his throat. ![]() I then took all of his stuff of value, the money I paid to learn the skills, and left the area. ![]() And to be completely honest, any character that outs themselves will likely see the same fate... just because fuck DEI. |

It's a very different way to play vs most games guiding you directly to the objective. Kharn |

That’s it. Don’t lie to yourself that it’s anything else. No, the age part was perfectly acceptable in the time period. Life was hard, people were "adults" at younger ages. You don't even have to go back that far in history to find it, just the first half of the 20th century. Plenty of "kids" fighting in world wars and doing all the crazy drunken shit that goes along with military service. The characters also don't "look" older, they are older. They are modeled after their voice actors, who are around 40 years old. Outrage over this is silly. The gay option shouldn't be in the game, but it is optional and only gets brought up if the player chooses to, completely unintrusive. You can murder the gay guy in the woods with zero consequences. If anything, that scene gives some perspective of how gay people were treated then and how ridiculous all the current complaining is. |

Plenty of "kids" fighting in world wars and doing all the crazy drunken shit that goes along with military service. Everyone keeps saying this like it’s new information. I am aware of this. In fact, without going into detail, I can guarantee you I’m more aware of this than 99% of people out there. And as a narrative device, I don’t have an inherent problem with it. I don’t object to marrying off my marriageable age offspring in Crusader Kings, after all. What’s the difference? Where do I draw the line? Sex scenes. It’s that simple. While a sex scene can have narrative value, 95% of the time they’re there to titillate and arouse. Pretty much every sex scene in games is so neckbeards can jerk it to a polygon count. There’s no other purpose to showing them. And when those scenes involve underage characters, you cross a line no decent society should tolerate. The characters also don't "look" older, they are older. They are modeled after their voice actors, who are around 40 years old. Outrage over this is silly. No, the models are around 40. The characters are in their teens. Kind of an unusual choice for a game that Vavra demanded satisfy historical accuracy, isn’t it? But of course the models they use are adults, because if they aged them appropriately to the story they’d be in legal trouble. It also fools the player. No one here realized the true age of the characters until I told them. I didn’t know until someone told me. The gay option shouldn't be in the game And this is the critical point that’s getting lost in here. This shouldn’t be in the game at all. Vavra even told the woke fucks after the first game that this wasn’t an option because you were playing the story of Henry and Henry wasn’t gay. Hans even had a DLC built around him trying to screw some girl. Narratively, this shouldn’t be an option. Morally, this shouldn’t be an option. The underage thing is just more ammunition. Even if the characters were 40, I’d still have a full mag to use against them. Why does this matter? Because this right here is a perfect example of why, culturally, we’ve done almost nothing but lose for the entire span of our lifetime. They corrupted our movies and we tut-tutted and did nothing. They corrupted our TV shows and we tut-tutted and did nothing. They corrupted our sports leagues and we tut-tutted and did nothing. Then they came for our games…and someone finally fucking pushed back. Gamergate was the first time globohomo ever got any serious pushback. And while it may be a meme, there’s more than a dollop of truth that Gamergate—>4chan memes—>President DJT. How’s that for winning? The “turn my head, close my eyes, fast forward through it, just ignore it” is the same damn losing approach that’s corrupted our culture and entertainment for decades. Well, as the wins we’ve been getting lately should have shown you, turns out we do get a vote after all. When it comes to games, you vote with your dollars. And everyone who gives a shit should have voted absolutely fucking no to this. You’re a (barely) free man, do what you want. But don’t pretend that just because you can ignore it that it doesn’t matter. And if you won’t stand up, don’t complain when they finally shove it down your throat. |

| Was having a great time doing open world stuff, finally decided to do more of the quest. Holy crap what an annoying game. Played like 8 hours of dialogue, cut scenes, sneaking around tiny areas without any of the advantages I made my character or choices how to do things. I mean how many times can you get captured in a cutscene? And since you haven't had any opportunities to do anything but exactly what the last cut scene tells you, I'm now down to almost no health with like 15 guards around me every time I load. I'm not going back through 3 hours of cut scenes so the game is over. |

Removal of the sex scenes wouldn't actually impact the game at all. The majority of them, such as the bath house maids merely skips time with some moaning in the background while the time dial spins. I suppose this is the Rights version of removing swastikas from Nazi German imagery in WW2 games like they do in Europe because it might turn you into a Nazi...or in this case, gay? |

Originally Posted By Soxfan: How are you managing the combat? 2 or more bandits and I’m toast. Wild dogs killed me too There are fast travels to most towns, you just have to travel to them on foot first to unlock it. There is a perk later in the game that reveals the entire map for you, showing all the travel points. As far as combat goes, until you get some decent armor, you're not going to be winning fights. Early game your best bet is to do easy quests from people, or farm a lot of herbs, make potions, and sell them. Then buy some armor. You can alternatively go watch Twitch in the background, if you have 2 monitors throw it up on 2nd monitor and unmute the stream but mute the tab. Let it sit and accumulate on a drops enabled stream for KCD2. Or, throw it up on your tablet or phone. After I think 4 hours or so they give you some nice armor. Though I think the original armor is now replaced with a thieves armor which isn't nearly as good but will help you sneak about, and is still substantially better than what you have. You can play the thief route, but you're going to need to do a lot of practicing at one of the mills early game. Thievery is not easy in KCD2 compared to KCD1. If you're able to find bandits 1v1 and sneak attack them, do it. Take their armor. You should then have a chance to fight 2v1. I cannot say this enough: Find the Gypsy camp, it's on the left side of the map, a few quests take you there rather early in the game. There's a swordmaster there that will teach you a master strike. In order to learn it you have to win against him in a duel, though. Once you do, combat is pretty easy because you can simply let them attack you and perfect parry to kill them using the master strike. KCD and KCD2 are not easy games. The combat is meant to be clunky because it's a reflection of real combat. In real life you wouldn't be swinging your sword around killing everyone instantly like in Skyrim. Once you get some skills, gear, and master strike, you should be able to handle most things the game throws at you. Not to say that harder enemies won't still kill you, and that you won't have to pay attention, but it will be manageable. Keep it up! |

And is there no fast travel? Blue shield Icons in towns and cities like Kuttenberg which is huge and should probably have more than one point of Fast Travel. There are vendors everywhere in Kuttenberg but I wish they had more money to buy stuff. I always have more loot than can be sold. I should be able to sell all of it with a quick walk through a city. If I had this on PC it would be the first thing I'd mod. That and sights for the Handgonne. Combat in KCD 1 was even more clunky, but I preferred it and It's controls over the second one. I wish there had been an option to revert controls back. this should come in handy: https://mapgenie.io/kingdom-come-deliverance-2 |
