This.

That cutout on the 19 does dig into my hand while holding and shooting.  Get rid of it and the flared mag well and is good to go.

According to what I've learned here in GD, they need to come out with a new model that has a 43 frame with a G20 slide/barrel on it.

Has it? I know the spur hammer was changed to a ring and the slide profile has changed over time. The only other thing I can think of is the FPB.

I have zero faith that Glock will ever get it really right.

Now that Gen 3 is out of patent, someone should just copy it and fix all the little things.

The Lone Wolf Timberwolf frame comes pretty damn close to that; when I think what Gen 5 should have been, this sans finger grooves is what I had imagined:

And the 2.0 new version looks like actual perfection. I held them at SHOT and they were superb:

That is one of the dumbest pictures in the entire gun world.  Completely ignores the POHR Quasimodo blackstrap hump in the Glock, and just “measures” the grip angle from some random point on the middle of the grip.

You want your pistol to point high so you can drop the front sight in the rear notch during extension so you can break the shot as soon as it’s flat across the top

Honestly, at this point, the only two things i don't like about Glock are the sights, which can be easily replaced with whatever you like and the trigger... and the trigger isn't really that bad, i just don't like the way it feels.

They're both solvable, so meh.

Better sights as a standard feature.
Lose the flared mag well
Gen 5 trigger
Marksman barrel
Better blackstrap system
No finger grooves
Front serrations (Not a deal breaker)

AND NO FREAKING CUT OUT SCALLOP ON THE GRIP!!!!!!!

I’ll buy 2 17’s and 2 19’s the day they hit the market.

Was at the fun store this weekend and finger-fucked a Sig P320. Damn near came close to buying it but my wife was getting a P365 so.

-Better ergonomics, change the grip angle and ‘round’ it.
-No excuse to have a shit trigger out of the box.
-Plastic sights have got to go.
-Relief cuts on the bottom of the grip to remove stuck mags.

Trigger guard perpendicular to frontstrap instead of an obtuse angle.

No finger grooves, no frontstrap scallop, no backstrap hump, a larger cutout on the bottom of the trigger guard.

A finish that isn’t slicker than owl shit on a glass doorknob.

More freebore in the throat.

All that would be a great start.

I hate plastic pistols nearly as much as I hate striker-fired pistols and even I bought a P320.

Yes, Glock should toss it's very successful business model and design.  Makes sense.

If you don't like what Glock offers, get something else.  The suggestions to change fundamental design features is insane.

How about a grip that doesn't feel like a 2x4?

Every single firearm company has a grip that is ergonomical, except the garbage can Glock.

One of the things I hear every time the Glock plastic sights are mentioned is that there to "save the consumer money" because Glock using metal sights would raise the product cost.

Well, lets put that claim to the test.

Pistols with factory metal sights as standard:

S&W M&P / M&P 2.0 - $500
HK VP9 - $589
CZ P10C - $499
Ruger American - $400
Springfield XD - $450
Sig P320 - $529
Canik TP9SF - $329
Kahr CT9 - $350
FN FNS-9 - $499

Pistols with factory plastic sights as standard:

Glock - $559

--> Every other manufacturer has managed to make a striker fired pistol with metal sights at a price equal or less than that of the Glock.

------> The plastic sights exist to line Glock's pockets at the expense of the consumer.
