I was genuinely hoping that would clear up some of my questions about the movie. But that dialogue gave nothing other than him asking why are you here

They did cut too much out of it to make total sense. You have to refer to the internet to make sense of the ending. Once you do I had a "ah ha!" moment and feel its a great movie

Its too bad they stripped out the references to mankind killing a 'diplomat' of theirs. Leaving that part out makes the audience have zero clue why mankind is hated

Jesus wasn't an eight foot tall bald white alien.  The movie takes place on Christmas Day.  A deleted scene shows a Christmas tree and a close up shot of baby Jesus.  The main character is a Christian.  They hate us because we stopped worshipping them(see the cave drawing scene).  Not because humans killed an eight foot tall bald monster from outer space.

What I never understood about that movie is that the whole world is covered in water yet everyone in it looked like they seriously needed a batch.

Even though Kevin Kostner usually puts me to sleep, I liked the movie. Dennis Hopper was great as usual.

They did the movie an injustice by removing all these scenes

It leaves people who dont look further than simply watching it feeling extremely confused

The book is long as shit. The movie visuals are pretty much in line with the book.

Yeah I had a hard time with Travolta as a alien, but otherwise it was pretty good.

I like Alien: Resurrection (the fourth Alien movie).  Most people hate it, and some even refuse to acknowledge it as part of the franchise.

I just see it as a different kind of Alien movie, and think it's fun and entertaining.

Apropos that meme, I love watching Gods and Generals. Just too bad Stonewall was not around for Gettysburg.
He might have saved the day with his tactical genius. He would have flanked the Bluebellies and routed them with his foot cavalry.

Good choice.

I will add what I jokingly refer to as the terrible 2's since most people find these to be bad sequels:

Transformers 2
Mission Impossible 2
Predator 2
2 Fast 2 Furious

I didn't have any interest in any of them until a friend recommended the Grand Budapest Hotel.

After that I watched several more and enjoyed all of them. He has a very interesting style.

@chase45

I posted a shitty version that I realize had no subtitles

Watch this one and skip to 5:15

The amount of dialogue that was ripped from this scene was atrocious. The original script would have made the whole engineer backstory make sense

Deleted Engineer Dialogue FULLY TRANSLATED from the Script of Prometheus

I immediately thought of the first Fast and the Furious movie.

It's cheesy, it's corny. I love it.

Then again, it's not universally hated.
