For that matter it’s possible it actually originated in Louisiana….hence the French name.

It’s a shame you would limit yourself great whiskey based on a silly government law and marketing.

I really hope you will eventually find a way to browbeat the American “bourbon” market into accepting different things. Creativity is a terrible thing to waste. As is whiskey

@justsayin - you didn’t bother inviting me to the bourbon party?

I’ve got a few things lately that you’ve probably seen. Castle & Key Wheated barrel strength, Heaven Hill grain to glass, Heaven Hill 18, some other miscellaneous bottles.

I’ve been loving some Bardstown Bourbon Company origin series bottles, out of the 4 I think prefer the high wheat mashbill.

New Riff, Old Glory, Yellowstone, MB Roland, and Neeley Family Distillery (Hidden Barn and Jett Bros.) are all knocking it out of the park for smaller distilleries.

I don’t drink enough to have a ‘go to’, but this is good enough for me. I prefer Blanton’s, but I never see it for sale and it’s double what I paid for my last bottle that I gave away to a friend that had twins.

Maybe regular Wild Turkey.  I have been on a rye kick lately though.
