I'm going to assume there was an issue with the coolers lol.
Just ring the butcher shop bell and ask them OP. Speed |

My local Walmart has become mostly empty shelves and disappointment. The place is a wreck.
I've never seen a worse stocked store outside of a ghetto. |

My wife does our grocery shopping and I'll admit that I haven't been in a grocery store in months. I went into one 2 days ago and was shocked by how many empty spaces there are on the shelves

They probably only have a couple of butchers and they tested positive for the wuflu, notice the butcher shop lights are out as well. Also could have refrigeration issues in the back.

I was in Costco and Sams yesterday, there was no shortage of meats of all kinds in either. Just smoked a nice tri tip I'll use for tacos that I picked up yesterday.
Mmmmm. tri tip tacos. |

It's been cleared out to make space for the new Soylent Green® line of "meat" products to feed all Americans.

Prime rib has suddenly become special order at both Publix in our AO.

Your first mistake was going to Sams Club. I used to be a member but their supply chains began to fail in Spring 2020 and Costco’s did not. That demonstration was all I needed to say nope, I am out. Make sure you let them know why you are leaving if you decide to do so.
As for Sams looking like some 3rd world country, they all are these days, so is Costco as far as the constituency is concerned. Maybe 1 in 7 people speaks English in there. |

Could you not just ask someone that worked there for an answer?
|

Really odd to see this. Our local Walmart had this same issue couple of days ago. All the meat, etc was empty. Told us it was the refrigeration systems were down.

It's F*ckin Iowa, I'm sure there's a porterhouse out there somewhere.

A local farmer just called to offer me a half beef since he had a buyer back out.

The wife said Costco was out of toilet paper the other day.....Butt why?

See where I said everything was cold? Maybe they just got it fixed. There was nobody around to ask. It happens quite frequently and they are required to toss everything out. So you work there and took the picture before you opened. Got it

Our Kroger doesn’t have shit. I was in there this morning and it was pretty pathetic.

There is a NOTCAR up at my small local, warning of a meat shortage coming.

I know one of the major processors is scaling back hard in anticipation of a September lock down. They got murdered on the first one when restaurant orders stopped.
Or its a maintenence issue. Nothing to see here. Move along. Thank you for shopping New Venezuela. |

Person stocking the meat had covid? Pulled it all to be safe?

Staffing issues. Possibly not even at the store. Could be the coolers went down and the contract company that fixes the coolers doesn't have enough people showing up to work.
Trickle down effects. |

View Quote True, the lights were off in the back. The only people around were those who give out samples. Even checking out, there was a LONG line. They normally add people to check receipts to keep lines moving fast, but they didn't have anyone to spare. |

I think the only reason anyone might anticipate problems in the next couple of months is because places like Tyson Foods mandating covid vaccines, and a lot of people are prepared to get fired. I'm hearing on Facebook that religious/medical exemptions get you put on unpaid leave of absence. |

View Quote Depends on when it gets fixed and sanitized and all that BS. You can't predict when shit is going to fail unfortunately. When Inwas in college I was a butcher at a large local retail chain. Happened at least once every few months. That or it would hit the freezer isles. It's worst when it hits the seafood dept and the inept retards don't notice it for a few days. |

went to costco today, as much meat as ever there was.
I have a half cow showing up in a few days, along with a whole lamb. Haven't finished eating the last cow yet... I have a "cow subscription", get half a cow every 6-7 months. Might have to slow it down soon as the kids are all adults and will be moving out soon... |
