The best flag in the world is also the oldest flag in the world - that of DENMARK, adopted on June 15, 1219. A simple Christian Cross on a solid field. All of the Scandinavian and Nordic flags are based on it. |

The Kansas state flag is hideous and violates just about every rule of flag design (including, why did you decide in 1961 that you had to put the name of the state on it, you didn't think people recognized its ugliness?)
The only this thats good about it is the coolest state motto ever ["Ad Astra per Aspera" - Latin : "To the Stars through Difficulties"] that they put on the flag and then decided they needed to build the best space museum in the world (look up Cosmosphere). Fortunately, they have another alternate flag, the Sunflower Banner, that goes right up there as one of the best designs in the world. https://www.crwflags.com/fotw/images/u/us-ks_sb.gif |
