Washington, hands down. Why? Tons of reasons. First and foremost, he would never accept it. He was pretty smart, decisive and people liked him well before he was chosen by the Continental Congress to lead our Army. He was humble as hell.
The reason we did not trade one king for another is mostly Washington himself. |
