Looking for a high quality manual T-handle (not foot) pump to keep in the garage. An integral pressure gauge would be nice.
Any suggestions? Thanks. |

The best T handle floor pump is a Silca. I bought one circa 2000 and it's still going very strong, as is the price. I doubt I even gave $50 back then.
Silca Pista Mine has lived in hot humid garages it's whole life, with a few winter time days around freezing. So far the only problem is the plastic cover got knocked off the pressure gauge. It rolled off under a bunch of stuff. It worked fine without it for a couple of years until we moved, cover was found and re-attached. Want to pump a road bike up to 120psi? No problem, quick and easy. |

If you're keeping it in the garage, the park tool inf-2 is what you want.

Had a Topeak forever. Hose started getting dry rot and cracking. Called them up, they sent a brand new replacement hose and inflator with zero questions, no receipt, nothing. Exceptional customer service.

Now to ask a stupid question, but will the "Pro chuck" work on Schrader valves? I'll be using this pump on Schraders and balls (i.e. "needle" valves, not sure what they're technically called) |

Lezyne or silca .
I have a couple of lezyne floor pumps and a specialized low pressure pump for mountain bike tires. Decide what you need it for, high pressure say 180psi or low pressure high volume. Mine are 120 max psi I think |

Who makes a good bike computer? I got these for my 5YO and 8YO. They are very laggy and sometimes read zero while riding. Looking for something simple and inexpensive but responsive and reliable. Thanks for any suggestions. |

They make some units that are ~$25 and decent quality. Don't expect much in terms of features, but for reliability they should be solid. Something like this maybe:

I used an inexpensive Eastern Mountain Sports Blackburn pump for about a decade before the head broke.
I use my brother's Canondale regularly. It works well. The bike shop that I go to regularly has a Fabric Stratosphere Pro Track, which is very pricey metal and marine grade ply affair. One of these days I want to buy one of those. |

When you unscrew it releases the pin before the seal is broken. |

It's a little pricey for what it does, but I run these on all the bikes.

Lezyne is a solid choice. For the ultimate floor pump, Silca is what you seek. I splurged and picked one up. It’s an awesome pump and very precise. A less expensive pump would do the same job, but I just like the quality and feel of the Silca.

Agreeing with others- Silca is the best for floor pumps. Lezyne for everything else.
That said, I might have to get one of those battery powered compressors...tubeless is awesome until it's time to mount them for the first time. |

Piece of cake to mount with a compressor. |

Is quality measured by performance or longevity?
A leather piston Silca is #1 in longevity. Grease the leather once a year and replace it every ten years. Zefal has made some very high performance pumps over the years (plus, doubleshot, alaskan) but I don't know of anybody who kept one going for decades. |

I find Lezyne to perfectly suit my needs and value for convenience. That's just me though. |

I don't have one but have heard great things. View Quote That sounds like a compressor, just a slower, more time-consuming, more laborious, and more expensive way of going about it. Also, if you're trying to seat tubeless tires, take the core out of the valve, and stick the nozzle of your blow gun in the now-empty core. It'll blow that tire out to the bead in a HURRY, faster than a CO2 inflator, faster than the Lezyne, faster than a regular inflator hooked to a compressor. Then remove the blow gun, stick your finger over the core to hold most of the air in, and then shove in the core. Most of the air will come out, but if you're not slow about it, the tire will generally still be on the rim, and once the core is tightened, you can just add more pressure to get it to get those delicious PINGs. |
