Need to replace my king mattress. When I read reviews, it seem like all brands suk, even the high end.

Check out Saatva. I did find a showroom where I spent a while trying out their mattresses. After all of the recommendations, I made a choice and then went the extra nickle and got the adjustable base. That base has been some of the best money I've spent. Some nights I sleep on a flat mattress, sometimes I'll slightly elevate my head and feet, all depends on what my back "says".

Sterns and foster used to, don't know about now days, they are owned by Sealy and also produce Sealy's top line....I have the equivalent of the Lux Estate version in a Sealy, best bed I've ever slept in by a long shot....

Roll your own. This is really the only way to ensure quality materials are used.

I used mattresses.net a few years ago to build my 10” Talalay latex hybrid mattress. Fast shipping, great service. I love my bed. Latex was a game changer for me.

I'm looking for a King mattress WITHOUT foam in it...any suggestions?  Price isn't an object, I just don't like the smell or the way foam retains heat.

Break out the bankroll and get yourself a real natural laytex mattress.  Heavy sombitches, but they make all other mattresses seem like a bad joke.  No pressure points, lasts 3 times as long as any other mattress I've ever had.

We ended up with a king size Aireloom mattress - hand-ish made in California.  When Ronald Reagan moved into the White House, he replaced all the mattresses with Aireloom.  Fair to say they're not exactly the same company, but kind of a fun fact anyway.

We also looked at Hypnos, they're handmade in England, but there was only one distributor semi-nearby (in Portland), and I didn't want to worry about how to ship it, and what would happen if we had any problems.

It's heavy, at about 250lbs.  But it is pure bliss sleeping on it.  It does have some latex and foam, but it isn't a "foam mattress."  It uses box springs and more traditional construction.

You’re more likely to get a recommendation of every brand known to man and come away more confused than when you started.

I have never slept this good.  I would buy another one in a second if I needed it.

Aireloom - best mattress I have owned.

I wanted the firmest mattress I could find - they make it.

Your weight will be a factor.  Everything will feel different & wear different if your 125lbs vs 280+
I have a basic inner spring & replace every 5 years.  For now...

If you are close to Volusia Cnty, Fox Mattress on Nova Rd. In Holly Hill. Family owned and they Manufacture their Mattresses. We bought a King mattress and box spring for 1000.00 in 2000. And still sleeping on them.

Best sleep I've ever had was on a sleep number at a hotel. I was out of town on a project and when I got home told my wife we need to get one. Still sleeping on the shit mattress we bought several years ago that allows my lower back pain to wake me up every morning.

Original Mattress Factory, the higher end ones.

Plus they can make custom sizes, including the box springs.  They used to make custom frames, but now you have to find them separately.

Natural latex - dunlop for slightly firmer, talalay for a little softer. Don't go over 6" deep, especially if you are heavy - more layers/deeper is a waste.

We've done well with Novaform ordered from Costco...but I like sleeping warm in a cold room on a very firm mattress.

They're also heavy bastards.
