SP can be some badass folks.  Of course once the expansion comes out, all the gear you have now will be worthless.  Had a guy talking about his beta testing of it, say that a pally in the newer gear soloed the 45min Baron run.

Well Im Tier1/tier2 Only blues are my neck and rings. I been saving my damage gear so it will help me get those first few level out of the way I also stockpiled food with good bonuses on it. |

After seeing it on South Park and hearing about it I signed up for the 10 day free trail. Took about 3 hours to download via Cable Model  Wow is this a neat game. I got my kids playing it, and after helping then Sunday afternoon I though I'd try it out last night. Talk about addicting (I think I PO'ed the wife) I was on there for hours and didn't realize it. I'm only a 6th level priest - a Zombie  in front of the others.Anybody else travel down to the SW coast of the eastern most continent? Jeez the dinosaurs there killed me real fast! Next time I'll learn not to take joy-rides on blimps. |

LOL Sounds like a case of caffiene for you. I play Illidan and I have an Undead Rogue. 28. I am hoping to get to 60 before the expansion releases. I doubt I will. |

Cool I can't imagine how long you have to play to get up to those kinds of levels. BTW I have some questions on the game I wondering if anyone could answer them. 1) Are there Dragons? If so where could I go to find them? 2) Once a characher is 'built up' enough can you move him to the other realms (like role-playing) or do you have to stick to world your character was created in? 3) Are there modes of transportation other than walking or getting joy rides on blimps? (i.e. horses or at least can you make a character run?) Thanks! This game is alot like playing D&D when I was a kid, I can see why so many people enjoy it. |

12 days ingame to 60 for me There are dragons, dont go at them with less then 40 people who are 60. Some are in dungeons, others are world spawns in a few places are rare to see. You can transfer to other servers but same game, the owrld overall is pretty big. You can take the bird to fly point to point in zones., also get a mount at 40 and can get a faster one at 60, they do cost money. |

Another question, any of you Hunters? IIRC in the PR releases for the game they always show a dwarf with a musket/halberd combo along with a bear. I figure he must be a Hunter. Do you have to be a high level to get the musket or do you start with it? What's the terminal performanc like ?

I'm a hunter (dwarf also, one of their racial traits is +5 for guns). At level 10 you start a quest chain to get a pet (meat shield!) I don't recall starting with a ranged weapon. (There are also bows and crossbows along with guns) Terminal performance, I can crit for about 2500 when I'm lucky and can get a solid 150DPS. hehe |

I just got off. My son tried playing but there was a faire going in his area (that was cool - saw lots of neat higher level characters and their steeds/pets). But so many were on it it was boggin the machine down making it unplayable. We switched to my character so the kids could see what it was like to be the bad guy. Well my first two sessions lasted a whole 60 seconds. I was still down by the dino's (ressurected in a grave yard in the realm to the north) I went to show my kids the area and when crossing the river(?) some giant pirrana ate me !? Ok so i go back as a ghost stood on the bank (on a mound) and ressurected I promply pulled out my Hearthstone and one of those damn piranna thingy's jumped out of the water and ate me !?  Third time I mannaged to ressurect and beam back 'home' in time. Took another ride on the blimps to the other continent to look around. Some 30th level Orc challenged me (level 6 Zombie-priest) to a duel while waiting for the return blimp. Curiouse I tried the duel - it lasted a whole 1 spell and he won. I didn't do a darn thing quest wise, but got a lot of sight-seeing in. Ya know this would make a decent game engine for a SHTF sceanio kinda game. Something based on 'Dawn of the Dead'. |

I just did that one too to upgrade my valor bracers. I'm on the next part but not sure if I should complete it. I get a bag, but don't know whats in it.  Since I'm in rank12 armor, its more just for fun. I did pick up a nice set of boots out of MC tonight (Coreforged Greaves or something like that). Pugged in with a raid guild and we ran the place in just under 3hrs. And yes that is a long as flight.

Well I got my warrior up to 60 and he's got some decent gear now and a couple of epics that were passed to him on raids. I started playing the Warlock I created 2 years ago that I reserved the name Sulaco with. Got him to level 12 last night. God I'm a loser Alien - 60 Rogue (epic'd out raiding character that I'm going to retire) Decimus - 60 Warrior (my new main) Gerald - 59 Paladin (been 59 for over a year haha!) Amador - 38 Hunter Sulaco - 12 Warlock All on the Alliance side on Tichondrius. |
I keep it handy... for close encounters.

My Dwarven Hunter, Odingaard - Level 41, and his wolf pet, Beowulf, can be found running around on the Muradin server during the wee hours of the morning on select days of the week. This is my second MMOG. I started with Dark Age of Camelot, maxed out a character with everything possible over a 4 year period. Sadly, DAOC lost most of its population when WoW came out. With no-one to play with, I dumped my DAOC account and went over to WoW. My love of MMOGs came from my love of Dungeons & Dragons years ago. Since I am older now (36) and do not have time to engage in a pencil/paper D&D campaign - I have found that MMOGs fill that little hole D&D left me with years ago. I do moderate my playing - which is something that you need to keep an eye on. Its easy to get lost in MMOGs for great lengths of time without eating or sleeping. In my opinion, WoW is an excellent MMOG with alot of people to play with at any time of the day/night. Its a good way to waste time (especially if you are deployed and your FOB has high-speed connections for your laptop!). I am personally responsible for getting about half my MP unit addicted to WoW - the oldest of which was 48-year-old Special Forces LTC, so its not just a game for kids or nerds. Its actually fitting for anyone that has an interest in combat/strategy oriented mindplay. Just play a Dwarven Hunter if you decide to play. You get to use guns! I am the Guildmaster of Knights of the Old Code - so if you decide to play, chat me up and I can set you up with some money and other items that will assist you in leveling your toon. Just downloaded the patch and it seems that there have been some more changes then just pvp updates. I'm not sure what to make of the warrior change, but time will tell. I like that they are resetting everyones talent trees. I've been debating if I should respec my warrior to protection, but didn't want to spend the gold. I think I'll go protection till the expansion comes out, and see if I like it. |

Yep, all the talents are getting reset. I'm also switching my warrior to protection until BC comes out. My 60 fire mage is getting tweaked for even more fire damage. I did 25% of the raid's total damage in the last 10-man UBRS raid we did, and I think it'll go up with the new talents. |

I just got the game and it's taking forever to download all the patches. Can't wait to sucked into the abyss. Here is a tad of advice: Before I started my hunter, I took several different characters to level 10 (about a half-day of play) just to see if I liked them. If you are not happy with your character through level 20 - just dump it and start another or start another and try it out. Eventually, you will find something you like. It won't take long to get back where you were level-wise. Also, if you want money making professions - train in skinning, mining, and fishing right off the bat in one of the captiol cities. Using these professions and selling the goods in the Auction House, I was not only able to train all my specs and have excellent armor/weapons - but was also easily able to gross the 90 Gold needed at level 40 for the mount. |
There's got to be a market for it, but I don't see the point unless it's for PvP. Building up the character seems like most of the fun. |

Already switched back to arms spec so I could do pvp for a bit. Time to upgrade some weapons. I hate the new LFG part of the patch. I enjoyed the older way of doing. |

This game is really addictive. I sat down to play last night about 8:00PM and the next time I looked at the clock it was 1:30AM. I figure by the time my Druid is level 30 I'll be divorced and playing WoW from my homeless shelter. Gotta go, I'm almost at level 10 and I need to sell off some spider parts. |
