It exploits the limited dynamic range of cameras as compared to our eyes.
Small sensor cameras fail where our eyes are still good. But muh megapixels |

Totally sucks on daily driver. Had it once with gray leather. Give me silver, red, or blue instead. |

I mean, if a sports car is supposed to compensate for a small dick, might as well get the biggest, blackest one you can afford.

Jul 05, 2022 at 7:56pm ET By: Jacob Oliva Year after year, the world's most popular car colors based on sales volume are white, black, and grey. But if you want the darkest of all the black paint jobs in the world, then you should turn your attention to Japan, specifically to Koyo Orient Japan and its Musou Black paint. The Musou Black paint is regarded to be among the world's blackest water-based acrylic paint. In the video embedded above, a Porsche 911 has been painted with the Musou Black paint, courtesy of Pit One with the help of Koyo Orient. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei9l9pHmcFY View Quote I like it. |

Quoted: OK, so they painted a car in flat black and drove it through mostly shade. What's the big deal? View Quote Well that was the second try. You see the first one they took in the sun and it started to melt, and sag. Then it burst into flames. The sunlight hitting the panels was so efficiently absorbed and converted to heat that when they tried to hit the smoldering wreck with water, it flashed to steam and killed three firemen. So yeah, better stick to the shade. |

Trying to be Vantablack and failing. Looks like a dark flat black to me. No comparison to Vanta.
