Listening to Ryan Hall, with everything that has happened today, NO REPORTED FATALITIES so far. Hope this holds up.

Unfortunately much of the middle of the country is under just as significant of a risk, tomorrow. Including some of the same places impacted today.

Tornados are something I want to stay the hell away from. Turns-out living with beautiful mountain vista's has other benefits.

I feel like I should pack up my car with cases of water /supplies and head north to some of the stricken areas to help.   But I wouldn’t know where to start.
Waiting to hear back from a friend in the Elkhorn area whose daughter’s house took a direct hit.  Told him to call when he needs me to roll that way.

Just go...ANYWHERE.  Doesn't matter where....just that you go for it.  You will find a mission, I guarantee it.

If you do go, bring work gloves and safety glasses. Understand that some places may want outsiders to stay out. Not everyone goes out with good intentions.

Also, be prepared for more of the same tomorrow.

Have relatives over near Creston. This is the second tornado in less than 7 days that passed in between the 2 of them. I got a photo looking south and one looking north at the same tornado.

Minden is locked down, only residents are allowed in. Thankfully there are no reported fatalities, but half the town is leveled. Couldn’t imagine my grandson going to school Monday if the class lost someone.

I'll keep yall in my prayers, this stuff is scary.

I've never seen more than a huge dust devil that stole my hat, so I can't even imagine how scary it would be to have your family in the path of one of those monsters.

Stay safe boys, and if anyone needs help don't be afraid to ask.

I was waiting for that to show up here. Aside from being in a bunker, not sure there's anywhere else I'd rather ride out a tornado than a locomotive.

Tornadoes don't just happen in flat areas. I remember years ago here in Idaho we had a serious tornado up near Lowman Idaho and it made toothpicks out of the forest.

It’s the safest place to be. Hard for a tornado to lift 435,000lbs.

We had one in Western Wa in 2018. Same deal, came out of nowhere. My wife was driving her school bus down the road saw debris swirling overhead and high tailed it. It came right behind her across the road. Thankfully there were no injuries but quite a few homes and businesses were damaged. Ended up rated an EF2. Whole thing was over in 5 minutes.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Port_Orchard_tornado

I lived in Indiana in 1974. Our roof was torn off. Neighbors place was badly damaged and horses were killed. We were all fortunate, we had a root cellar to take shelter in and nobody was hurt.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974_Super_Outbreak

My daughter is at Fort Cavazos in TX with her husband and called me today with the base alert system sounding "shelter in place" in the background. I told her she better take those warnings seriously, be prepared and have a plan.
