I am absolutely god awful at figuring out what to buy for people in general. Gift(s) for our (almost) 1 year old daughter? Complete vapor lock.
Any ideas folks? And let's keep the budget reasonable please, less than, say, $100-150. |

Whatever you get, she'll have more fun playing in the box that it came in
A little late to get started, but a brother or sister would be a nice gift.
A nice fluffy blanket and three or four books the two of you can read together.

Soon the Democrats will create an implant, transition savings account.

Im gonna give my 1 yo daughter a full box of kleenex and laugh as she pulls them all out.
Also getting her some books clothes. She loves her lovevery toys |

as above - books are always good. AND TAKE THE TIME TO READ TO HER...
blocks and other stuff for the imagination are also good. no need to spend the money, spend the time and she won't forget it |
She's 1 y.o., she ain't going to remember anything lol.
Take a good photo with her for her (and you) to look at when she's older. Take the money you would have spent and start a small fund for her, give it to her when she's old enough as a rainy day fund or something. |

Check out Haba toy's. My wife's probably spent $300 on books and wooden toys for our 8 month old.

A good quality stuffed animal, my still has his 8 years later
Dress her up in some kind of Christmas themed outfit, and take good quality photos. Also, get a few books to read to her nightly. The idea of a 529 or similar plan is a good one as well!
She won’t remember anything about this Christmas. Make the memories count so you can look back later in life with her. I feel my daughter received too many toys for her first Christmas, and still feel that way about her 2nd lol. Some days I wish instead of her getting toys from family she would get more money to her 529 fund(I contribute monthly). |

Failed To Load Product Data Get this if she doesn't already have it and dance with her every day. |

When my niece was one for Christmas I gave my sister and brother in-law a $100 and told them to open her a savings account and add too it as they could over the years

Books and read to the kiddos every day. I didn't buy my kids anything. They are spoiled by the grandparents and everyone else.
The entire house is a playroom. It's tidy, but there's some toys in every room. |

Failed To Load Product Data My girls liked this when they started to learn to walk... |
Books are a good thought, we already read every night before bed.
I like the mutual fund or 529 fund idea as well, hadn't thought of that. This is mostly something I can give my wife an idea for, I'm well aware she won't remember anything yet and doesn't need a ton more toys (my in laws are buying tons already). |

Lifetime hunting/fishing license if there is a big discount for doing so before they are a year old in your state. For nc, it is a no brainer.
S&W M&P15-22, and lots of short 10 and normal 25 round mags.
And a box big enough for her to crawl into, because that's what she'll enjoy playing with. But if you want normal toys then the Tugboat, and the Shape Sorter. |

Wood blocks will make great ranged weapons in a couple of years.

As a dad of two daughters I would recommend an edged weapon. Something like a halberd or a falchion.
