A buddy that is a commercial pilot mentioned this whiskey. I asked him to pick me up a bottle. Cost $100 for me.

I haven’t tried it. High proof whiskies have ruined me. Every Japanese whisky I’ve personally tried always falls flat and short for me

Gotta admit that the label is bad-ass.
I like smoky foods (smoked salmon, oysters, cheeses, etc.) and smoky tea (Lapsang Souchong) and smoky whisky (Talisker 18). Haven't tried the Yamazaki, but I'm intrigued. |

We are going to get into one of these bottles tonight. We had some other yamakzi that my friend brought back. I can't remember the name, but it was good, and potent. I'll see if anyone has any recollection. We finished the bottle that night soooooo I have no recollection.
