That kind of money will get you in at the rougher third of the Austin-Healey MK 3000 market.
I passed on a beautiful example for $10K about 30 years ago. Big mistake. |

I would take that $45,000 and throw it at mt 1988 GMC Sierror. I joke about it, but I love that truck.

'73 Z28. Custom model for the year, and the split front bumper sets it apart from the pack in terms of looks.
Most any Chevelle would do for a consolation prize. Link to bitchin' blue one with racing stripes @ $38k: https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1459796/1973-chevrolet-camaro-for-sale-in-huntingtown-maryland-20639 |

I'd rather have something new and quick like a 1LE or ZL1 Camaro, but I've always had a soft spot for the 1970 Olds W-30 cars.

I've had a 71 Challenger sitting in my equipment shed for 20 years. If I had that money I would spend it on that. It's a 225 and nothing special so I have no interest in keeping it all original.

I think 45k would cover most of a Shelby Cobra replica, either have it built or buy used

Puts a pretty serious cap on upside appreciation, but a lot of enjoyment if you're buying it for a weekend cruiser |

I’m a simple man and would like a 65 Mustang Coupe.
45k would get me the car and money left to make it sing. I’d pull the stock drivetrain and wrap it up. New drivetrain would be a pro street setup with a mild turbo build -650-700ish on e85 5 speed 9in etc. Ice cold AC for the Win!! I’ve already done the 68 Camero but let it get to wild to enjoy. |
