Cruise, A/C, seat heat, windows, etc), constant software monitoring & evaluation of your capability to drive with remote kill-switching to restrict your control,... 1stworld problems? |

BMW tried charging $80/year (?) for CarPlay after 1 year ownership. I (and probably a bunch others) told them to F-off and I'll never buy another BMW. They must have got the word, as they credited me. back $80 a few months later and now it's not a subscription based feature. Such a dumb idea. Your customers know the feature is already in the vehicle. You are going to charge me for that? |

Their business, their rules. amirite?  The local mechanic does not think that his son, who currently works for him, will be able to keep the shop for too long after he inherits it. It is already too difficult, and in some cases impossible, for him to fix certain things due to software. But people lived before automobiles too.
