Quoted: 270 after 3 hours? Holy shit. You need to cut out the carbs. View Quote You have to stop eating whatever you are eating, that is really hard on your kidneys; the condition of your kidneys will determine how long you will live Gotta stay away from pastas and any white wheat-based products or eat an absolute minimum amount of it. I think corn is okay as they have a pretty low glycemic rate. I eat mostly veggies & mushrooms, along with cheese, eggs etc. Eat just plain rolled oats in oat meal for breakfast, it will take 5-10 minustes to cook, and not the 3minute or 1minute kind. I put raisins and chopped almonds in mine, some people put in granola. I have been told to keep my blood sugar from 100-125, my A1C is 6.6 Good luck! |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: regular, intense cardio fixes most of these issues. Not overnight. And a blood sugar of 270 is causing damage. How does that work for type I diabetics? Except we aren’t talking about type 1. Comparing type 1 to type 2 is apples to oranges. And no, cardio doesn’t transform the body in 24 hours, but try it for a couple weeks and watch the changes in not only the numbers but how one feels overall. Regular cardio doesn’t cure everything, but it’s the one thing that can fix many issues. |

Quoted: nawww.... he'll make threads about his 3 x a week dialysis... View Quote My diabetic neighbor 10 plus years ago first lost part of a leg to diabetes. Two of the local Barney Fife’s were dispatched to my house. There are about 6 different ways shit could have gone sideways…. All because the bitch next door couldn’t stop eating sweets/carbs. Quoted: If my BG gets down to 80 I get sick. Is that a keto thing or are you just normally low? View Quote Earlier this year, I had started a thread in Team about my experience with my glucose meter. I am not diabetic. At least not yet. I would prick different fingers. Do the ring finger on the my right hand. Then immediately prick the ring finger on my left hand. If my memory is correct, I could have 20 point differences between hands. And again, if my memory is correct, I could have 10 point plus differences between different fingers on the same hand. I did a two day fast and kept checking my blood sugar like 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 hours etc since I last ate. IIRC, my glucose got down into the high 80’s . Anywhoooo….the impression I got from my thread was that drugstore level glucose meters are horribly inaccurate. EDIT: left vs. right hand |
