Where do you guys get your boxes? I used to have a few from buying things but I tossed em.

I have to rifles on gunbroker I'm selling. C&R stuff so they are long.

Both UPS places by me were not helpful and everything online seems like a MOQ of 15 or so

Just buy a few uppers from PSA and use the boxes they come in.

Brownells has heavy duty ones.
The package manglers can destroy the flimsy ones guns usually come in.

I save mine as well.  In a pinch you can buy them at the UPS store but that is expensive.  My favorite boxes are the ones long light fixtures come in since they are discrete.

Order the cheapest gun case you can find online.  Ship one out in the case, and one in the box the case came in.  Problem solved.

I get those free triangle mailing tubes from FedEx. Take them apart to turn them inside out. Can fit a rifle in there but not a factory box.

One does not buy rifle boxes. One retains rifle boxes for later use.

Unfortunately you're so far away or I'd help you out. I have a room full of various sized gun boxes that either get re-used or get crushed and burned in the wood stove
I have a couple of locals who sell on Ebay who drop by and bum some of the boxes for odd-sized stuff they sell on-line.
As someone else said, hit up your local gun stores for cast-off boxes.

This...  When I moved from St. louis down to where I'm at now, I went on uline.com and ordered a case of shipping boxes maybe two...  They all came folded flat and banded together, I just had to unband, fold and tape them.

I also bought a few rolls of packing tape and bubble wrap...

I put two long guns, bubble wrapped separate in each box. Then wrote something on each box so, I'd know what was in it...

A Safe moving company moved the Gun Safe and Ammo Cabinet...

I filled an Trail Blazer too the roof with boxes and followed them to the new location...

Uline.

Ordered some a few weeks ago. Two bundles ended being about $4 per box shipped. Nice strong quality boxes.

Search rifle box on website.

OP, buy the bundles at MOQ, then offer singles on the EE for others who need a box or two.

Buy cheap gun cases from SportsmansWH or such.  they pull the cases out of the box and throw the boxes away, so you have to be good with your timing or request they save the box for you.   You can also buy a nice gun case from Midway and have a box with it delivered.

Wrap them up in bubble wrap, and put the rifle snugly in one of these boxes.

Not a bad idea. I bought a bundle and sell one here and there to guys that need one for $20. I ship enough guns to the gunsmith that it's worth it for me.

Another vote for uline.  Order it one day and it shows up the following day.  Used them at work for years and never been disappointed.

I needed one to use in shipping a shotgun back to Mossberg. I called Mossberg and they sold me one for $5 (incl. shipping). They asked me the model of the gun, and sent me the exact box I needed.

When I need a box to ship something like that I go a local furniture store and get a couple big sheets of cardboard from their scrap pile.

It is pretty easy to make your own boxes for free that way.

I usually make it two layers thick to make it stronger.

Good packing is cheap insurance.

This.   It is not all that hard to make multiple long gun boxes from a refrigerator box.
