The 43X MOS will need to be slightly modified to fit the 507K. The Holosun doesn't use all 4 of the recoil bosses of the RMSc.

No plates shipped with it, only optics with the shield footprint fit.

Yeah I ran into this article therefore do you think or know that they will come out with an adapter plate?

A modification of the Shield standard
Holosun 407K and Holosun 507K feature a modification of the Shield footprint. The differences are:

the two rear sockets are missing
the sockets in the front are shallower
For this reason, some pistols that are optic ready for Shield footprint need to be modified for the 407 and 507K. Namely, the two rear indexing lugs on the pistol have to be removed and the two front indexing lugs shortened in height. Hellcat and Walther PPS are examples of such pistols (some pistols, such as Sig Sauer P365XL, do not have to be modified).

Has anyone tried a romeo zero.  Picked up the 48 today and wanted to confirm before I purchased.

The RMRcc adapter plate for "all MOS models" might have been named that before the release of the slimline MOS models because on trijicon's web page it shows it mounted on a 45 and is wide as the slide so likely not correct for the slimline models.

Plates aren't cheap either, I think 60-80 bucks.  Makes more sense to just mill for whatever optic you want.

Picked my 48 MOS up today.
No plates. Have a Hellcat OSP with the Shield RMSc optic. Selling the Hellcat, but keeping the optic. Fits perfect. Using the Shield 8mm screws.

Waiting on a Shield Steel mag catch.

No one seems to know what light might fit the rail. Dealer said they tried everything in their inventory with no luck.

If anyone finds a light that fits, please post?

Definitely one of these in my future to go with my current 43X. Amazing hardware with the SA mags. When is SA supposed to release the steel mag catch? The aluminum one is the only week point in the entire system right now.

SA released the steel one but didn't make a big announcement.
It's the only one on their site as far as I know.  I got mine last week.

Not sure about the etiquette of posting images that are hosted on reddit, but the OP of that thread also linked one from imgur with the TLR-7sub on a G43x.

How did I miss this?

Well I am no longer debating between a 365xl or a Hellcat OSP. I absolutely love my g48 and I have been lusting for one with a red dot. I really wish these fit a 407k without modifications.

I’ll stick with my 507k milled 43x. I do kind of want a Gucci 48x but I’ll probably just replace the slide so mos means little to me.

You basically have the exact same thing anyways.

I may end up just milling my current 48 since the 507 won't fit without mods anyways.

This is part and parcel how Glock works.

Everyone wanted a slim 9mm, so instead they do the G42. Fanboys buy them anyway. Come out with the G43, and lots of the same fanboys that begrudgingly bought the 42, scoop up the pistol they actually wanted in the first place.

Once sales slow, here comes the 43x/48. Then they let them sit until demand wanes slightly, and bam, one or two little features thrown onto the same pistol and it's suddenly *legendary*

If you don't mind mismatched numbers, I'm sure you could easily find someone to swap you a 43 or 43X slide and pay boot.

I have a 48 mos, and a Swampfox Sentinel both coming this week. The Swampfox had to be procured from FleaBay because they're back ordered from Swampfox. I found 6 different sights in the RMSc size offering. I picked the Sentinel because it's waterproof, has a glass lens, and is NV compatible, and got a good durability review for $269. I'll let you all know by next week how the package works.

Do you have to take off the sentinel to change the battery? Because it looks that way for most of these smaller foot print micro red dots.

Yes. It takes a CR2032 battery that is supposed to last 2 years. I ordered up some 6/32 X 1/2" Stainless Steel screws on a guess of what it will use so they'll come out in 2 years. I'm thinking the 1/2" screws can be cut down to the length I actually need. I live right on the North West Coast, and rust & corrosion is a real problem. I wipe Corrosion Block in between the plate and slide on my MOS guns, but do not put it between sights and plate or slide. I've had good luck with that. Sighting in once every year or 2 is not a problem for me. I just worry about the screws not coming out.

My procrastination has finally payed off.  A black model with a rail that I will finally buy.  Only question is 43x or 48.  Leaning towards 48 since I can swap my 43 slide over.

I had to trim some of the front to get mine to fit. Once trimmed though it won’t fit on the regular 43 anymore securely.
