Dropped in to one of my LGS’s today. They usually have steep discounts on used guns between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last year I scored my OD Green P-01 there cheap. Well, this time I spied another compact CZ in the used case. Turned out to be a CZ75D Compact PCR. Came with three 15 rnd McGar mags and two 10’s, plus the box. Honestly, I can’t see that it’s ever been fired. Looks completely clean.  I walked out the door with it for $441.00. That’s tax and all. I now have the PCR, an OD Green P-01, and an older CZ75B. Never planned on becoming a CZ junkie, but I think I am……. |

When you hold one in your hand you know it fits. When you shoot it you know you want to keep it. I've bought buckets of handguns over the last 50 years and nothing shoots like some of my CZ pistols. |
How you live your life is important. Just be sure the memory of how you died doesn't overshadow the tales of how you lived your life.

I swapped the hammer spring on the PCR today for a Wolff 15lb. I stupidly forgot to check the weight with my gauge before the swap, but after I’m at 10lb with the hammer all the way down, 9.4lb at de-cock, and 4.8lb single action. My P-01 has a bunch of Apex parts in it, done before I got it. It runs at 9.2lb/8.8lb/4.2lb. The PCR feels much better double action now. Not as good as the P-01 though…. |
