Not a sexy option anymore it seems but I love my two 4.0 9mms. I've been carrying the two tone one off and on since early 2017. I picked up the black one in '21 and added the red dot to the first one around that time, now that I had a backup to it. The black one has TruGlo TFX Pro sights. Both have Crimson Trace Laserguard Pro Lights w/ lasers. I added them mostly for the light, but in low light I can shoot accurately using the laser and light together out to 25y (That's not plan A, but it does work effectively if needed). Last year I added a Powder River trigger to both of them. That completely fixed my only complaint I had with the gun (gritty, spongy trigger). They've been 100% reliable and shoot great! Eight rounds in the gun and another nine round reload isn't terrible.

Nice! If you have a tool that you like and works well for you, no need to chase the latest trend. I always liked the look of the 4" XD-S, but I like a long-slide on a compact frame. I wish they would a 3.7" barrel/slide to the standard (non-Pro, non-RDP) Hellcat line-up. |

I found that having more of the slide/holster below the beltline really helps keep everything in the correct position/comfortable. |
| I’ve had a 9mm XDs for years. I like how flat it is and I t carries really nice at the 3:30 to 4 position and it groups really well with everything I’ve put through it. Also never had any malfunctions. I don’t carry it though because it doesn’t matter what I do or what ammo I use it shoots 8 to 10 inches low. Don’t have that issue with any other handgun I own. |

I’ve had my 4.0 XDS 45 for a few years and like it for its size. I shoot it well enough to have it in my carry rotation. It has been 100% reliable. My mid 50’s eyesight has me feeling handicapped of late. The fiber optic front sight is what keeps it in my carry rotation. I did “some” reading in regards to my old man eyesight and came to the conclusion that I needed a solution. My solution: buy a new gun with a red dot. The choices were overwhelming. To the point of analysis paralysis (borrowed that from somewhere). I found a deal on a mod 2 XDS with a CT red dot and 5 mags so I bought it. I’m familiar with the XDS already so it seems like a logical choice. I haven’t made time for the range yet, but I’m looking forward to learning how to shoot with an optic on a pistol. I got it on sale when they discontinued the 4" model. I like it enough that I just ordered a used 3.3 XDS 9mm mod 2 and will run that one without a RDS. Mag and holster compatibility was another reason I wanted one with and without a sight. |

Fast forward to last week & everything I read about this one says great trigger but slick grip. I will find out tomorrow. I can fix the grip. The round is a little bigger. I run the PRP grips on all of my XD, XDm series pistols. Nice looking 10mm. |

EDC fXDS-.45 or ~6 years. Traded when I got back from deployment only because I wanted a M18 and knew I would not be shooting or carrying it much. Took a little practice and did usually end up wit a sore hand after a 1-2 box workout. Anyone looking for some accessories? I have a couple custom holsters, extra mags and pearce grip extensions (Those Pearce mag extensions, made all the difference in terms of world) |
