| A CMMG 22 LR conversion kit should work in an AR-15 pistol. If the pistol uses a gas piston system (long or short) you’d need to remove the gas piston and rod. The conversion kit bolt incorporates a recoil spring and the bolt moves on the captured rails. No buffer or gas system is used with the CMMG pattern 22 LR conversion kit. Depending on the type of hammer for the fire control group can sometimes cause random issues. Milspec non notched hammers work as do my two stage match triggers like Geissele G2S, Larue MBT-2S and RRA NM. |
| There's no difference in using it in either a rifle or pistol. You still want to run a few rounds of 223/556 after shooting with it to clear the gas system. |
The 2nd is not about hunting, it never was. It was put in place for one reason and one reason only. You can't have them, we won't give them up, so get over it.
