Im sure this is an odd past...Hope this doesnt come off like Im whining... Im just really curious if anyone has any feedback or comments, or even better, suggestions

I have two pistols listed on here... for some time.

They have not resulted in any sales or even  resulted in any inquires/questions etc....

So Im wondering whether its my lack of sales on here... if these are just really not desirable... or if my price is unrealistic.

I want to price them reasonably... ideally where I and purchaser are both happy. I cant find any comparable on GB for either.  I tried to inquire on another board for some guidance as was kicked out of the forum because moderator said I was fishing for purchases...

idk... would really appreciate it if anyone has helpful suggestions

BR

Items in question are:
- 1984 LAR Grizzly 45 WinMag - like new. Doesnt look like it was ever fired. Comes with 3 mag and all paper, box, etc
- Les Baer Limited Run Thunder Ranch Comanche 4.25 (Serial TRC w/ 500 total units). Comes with 3 mags, box, papers. Low round count, approx 250

You havent been here long, you haven't contributed to the site much, and you haven't done much business here.  Nothing personal, but I wouldn't consider buying something as expensive as a gun from you.  You may be the greatest most trustworthy dude on the planet, but the average "shopper" here has no way to see it.

You might be better off having your local gun shop throw it up on Gunbroker...

While your time here could be a factor, myself and others are willing to buy from newer members, we just request you ship first because we have the feedback to prove we can be trusted.

The two pistols you listed are expensive and kind of have a niche market. I wouldn't be surprised that it would take a bit longer to move as a result. Realistically all you can do to price them is look at what others sold for, if you can't find any comps, that means your buyers can't either. And it's unlikely someone is willing to throw down thousands on a pistol when they are unsure what a good price is.

If you have it cross posted on multiple sites and it doesn't move for a long period of time, it's safe to say there isn't enough demand and if I were you I'd either drop the price, or decide to keep it.

So more my ratings on the board than the pricing or general desirability of the pieces.

yeah... unfortunately not sure how to remedy that. Ive purchased I think a $1400 riffle on here once, which is my only rating. Dont have money to be buying a lot of firearms, and generally get them at auction. And little stuff I typically buy new.
Guess I could contribute more... rather then just read.

But point taken.

Still curious about the price points. I have them both on GB for a little more than here; I hate selling there. Ive sold a half dozen pieces there, but their fees are just stupid. Last pistol I purchased had a closing bid of $2601, but final cost was over $2900.

You should really include your state in your profile.

Many members here do a search by state.  Not listing your state can really reduce your options to be seen by others and seeing is the first step to selling.

Hmm. Shipping first I dont think would be an issue for me for a high feedback purchasers. Also curious about this firearm escrow service Ive heard about called GunTab.

But I def agree with your point about niche items. though I didnt really even consider your point about potential buyers also not being able to find a price comparison.  I did have one person reach out to me on GB about the Grizzly, telling me that he had over a dozen of them and I was really over pricing it... that 2k was a more realistic price. But then I finally found a semi good comp on Rock Island Auction... it was a later version, with more wear and no box or papers going for $2,600... so I figure that call was just blowing smoke trying to talk his way into a good deal idk. They are not crossed posted that many places - just here, HKpro and GB. I think if I dropped the price on GB to match what I have here, they would probably go quicker... but again those darn fees.

Guess I just need to be patient. Ive been meaning to check out gun club. I never really go in the main building; maybe they have a classified board in there.

Anyway, thank you again for the input, its much appreciate

List them on GB as there's more traffic and a much wider customer base. Yeah you pay the fees, but it usually is worth it.
It has to be pretty much a give away to sell on the EE.

Post count ,,join Date, low feedback, non member and no state listed. All red flags combined.

1) start posting in various tech forums , get quality and quantity of post count up.

2) feedback gonna be harder, have to buy and sell
.

3) those guns are niche and there are nicer , newer ones out now

You'll eventually get there , takes time unfortunately

As others have said, list your state, be patient, be responsive and make sure your items are listed as taking offers. I have sold many items here after someone low balled me but we were able to work a deal in one fashion or another.
