| I tried out a friends Fusion XP Pro a while back and really liked it except for the grip. Fusion has had the V2 with the new style grip out for a while now but I have not seen a single review on it. Anyone here have any experience with the new grip? Thanks! |

My buddy picked one up ( we have loopholes that, when jumped through, make them legal for purchase here in CA). We go to the range about weekly and he’s brought it along each trip. Never a failure. It’s a very smooth shooting gun. But for me, the grip is too textured. It hurts my palms after a while, even with my calloused hands While shooting the gun I think ‘wow, I’m going to buy one too’. Then i think ‘id never be able to take this thing to a class or carry it’. But I guess that’s not really the purpose of the gun, so I’m still on the fence. Off of your topic, He also has a Platypus which, to me, is equally a great shooting gun. |

I'm planning on a 4" with the compact grip with Stealth Arms doesn't offer. I'm probably going to jump on the Fusion when they are in stock. |

I have an XP Pro with the original grip. It has been great. I will probably buy the smaller Glock 19 mag model and maybe one of the comped models in the future. I also have a Platypus. I like the Platypus a little better because of the grip shape and size, the texture on either is fine to me. James |

I don't like the shape of the OG glofball texture grip. The shape of the new grip looks much better.

Yeah, on mine it looks like the front strap angle is 1911, but the back of the grip seems more like Glock angle. The width of the grip front to back is wider then the Platypus, but I think it might be a little thinner then the Platypus. I do plan to try the new grip. The more undercut trigger guard will be nice. James |
| If anyone is interested, I got to handle a new XP PRO V2 4" with the new full size grip today. The grip is a huge improvemet over the previous golf ball textured flat paneled grip. I'm torn now between an American made Prodigy and the Turkish Fusion. I think the Fusion offers the better value proposition with the forged slide, machined ignition parts, more durable finish, and Glock mag compatibility. For roughly the same price as the prodigy. I'm just struggling to spend that much on a Turkish pistol. |

There is a very active USPSA community here. Lots of high end 2011's from company's lile Atlus and Vktr. My issue is that once you start comparing the Prodigy to guns like the Fusion and Alpha Foxtrot it really doesn't look like much of a bargain. I am not a fan of the Cerakote finish on the prodigy for one. The Fusion has some of the toughest finishes available as does the AF. The two Fusions I handled yesterday had much better slide to frame fit than the Prodigy, felt much slicker, and the new grips are very nice. The Fusion trigger feels better out of the box. The AF is made in the US too but hard to find locally. The damn Prodigy grip just feels really good to me but that grip is pretty much a direct swap onto the AF frame . The Prodigy's are much easier to find locally. Every shop has a few in various configurations. My plan originally was to save up more funds and look at slightly higher end options with a compact grip. |
