Went with AIM Surplus, it has the cut already and has front slide serrations. It was on sale when I ordered it last week, cost including shipping is a little more than half of a reputable slide cut. It's not ocd cloner correct but I can run the MK27mod2 setup and beat the shit out of it without destroying a collector piece. Attached File |

Awe, NM, wouldn’t fit what I’m looking for. Was gonna do a half ass mod 1 with direct milling but since I have an mos model now I can look for someone that’ll do a custom depth to match the mos |

Not sure if this has been posted before? Attached File Looks to be a gen 4 Glock 22 MOS based on the mags, but could be a 17 |

Since I’m now questing for my USA made mk27, decided I’d like to nab a gen 4 mk26 mod 1 as well Most info I could find was here Attached File And I couldn’t find an actual sku number so can’t determine if it’s a USA made model like the MK27 gen 4’s, and finding a pic of one in service has been difficult. Any know if these are USA or Austrian made? Much appreciated |

Originally Posted By Parabellum226: There appears to be a PN sku, which I always thought meant Austrian marked. Was this screenshot the NSN for the MK26 or Mod 1? This is a Glock 26 mod 1 as indicated by Gen 4. The sku usually starts with a P(Austria) or U(us) and I didn’t see it listed, so assumed it wasn’t there, but there was a part number, so I reached out to some Glock autists to see if they could help, and confirmed it’s an odd code because it’s missing some of normal sku nomenclature. But the part number actually breaks down into: 26=model 26 5=5.5 lb trigger 0= standard model 7= Glock night sights 1= extended slide stop 6= special order Glock USA (7 would have indicated Glock Austria) |

If you can answer: Does the individual team guy get to pick which pistol he wants to use? How does the teams like the G19 in general? The M9? Do they have any M9A1s(or other railed/modern variants like A4s)?[I'm also a Beretta guy Are they used for the same mission/purpose(compact vs duty pistol)? Thanks for sharing(if able to do so). |

TPE guns are for when agumentees come in or equipment is enroute/sent home. Individual preference, most like the Glock and those are standard M9s. Marines are the only ones with the M9A1s that I know of. My preference is still the M1911/M1911A1 as that was my original issued sidearm in 5th SFGA back in 1984. My chosen 1911 in 2014 in Astan. Attached File As far as mission/purpose. The M1911A1, M9 and M17 are full size service handguns. The M11 and Mk27 (G19) fill the compact requirement. M18 does not meet the compact requirement as frame is still full size. Mk26 (G26) meets the subcompact requirement. |

I can understand the desire for magazine compatibility, but it departs from the concept of the M9 and M11 that they were supposedly replacing, with the M11 serving as a more concealable pistol for CID and other roles. When I bought my military production M18 last year, I switched the grip module out for the 15-round XCompact grip, which I think makes more sense when paired with the full size M17. A Glock 19 capable of changing the rear grip sizes to better fit hands, the accessory rail on dust cover and ability fit night sights all met the specifications written up to justify the M17 M18 MHS. And how did SIG get a variance from BATFE to classify the FCU as the main component of the P320 system? Glock could have done the same thing with the TMH housing to allow Armorers to change out the commonly referred to as the "receiver" lower frame as damage rendered them inop without having to totally code out a handgun. |
