I'm way behind on the thread, I know, but this thing is nuts.  what a terrible idea all around except if you live in a video game.

Cheapest Glock I have seen purchased. Nice score but also have heard a lot of disagreements with .45 GAP? What are your thoughts so far? Your 39 looks rad!

Took it to the range with the kids yesterday. We had a Gen4 19/26/23, a few Gen2 19's, a new G30S, and the G39. The G39 certainly has it's own recoil feel and bark, but it's a Glock, so it's easy to shoot and accurate. I had no issues with it what-so-ever. Everyone that shot it liked it, I thought it compared to shooting my old G29. I bought it initially because it was so damn cheap, figured I'd just use it as a garage gun, but as long as I can pick up ammo for it at 45 ACP prices I'll continue to use it at the range. If nothing else it makes for an interesting conversation piece. When I went to pick it up my FFL's reaction was priceless "WTF, did you mean to order this?!?", hahaha!

Is this burnt bronze cerakote or something else?  You can't post something that looks that good and not include the details.  We need details, man!

Was the RTF too agressive?  How's the hand stipple compare?
Link Posted: 10/11/2013 3:21:06 PM EST
[Last Edit: KiloGolf] [#34]
it is burnt bronze cerakote. looks great, and has a little more traction than the tennifer.

and the RTF wasn't terrible. I actually like it, but for iwb carry it was a little too rough. the starburst stipple is awesome- it gives more traction than a standard gen 3 grip, but not to rough like the RTF.  and it looks cooler

My newest purchase that I made on the way home from Knob Creek this afternoon.

It's a used OD frame G17, but you can't tell that it had ever left the case. There was some red primer sealant all over the breech face and firing pin channel, as if someone had fired around a box of Wolf 9mm through it, before putting it away. It came with two Gen 3 magazines but I bought a Gen 4 mag(what they had in stock) and a cheap Glock Sport Combat holster for it. The holster will do until I get around to buying a better one, and I added Raven soft IWB loops to it.

It has a 6/6/2013 date on the fired case, and is the 6th Glock I've owned...

Comp-Tac for both the holster and the kydex mag carrier, DeSantis for the pocket mag pouch.

The white spots are probably sweat crystals from all day IWB carry.  I live in GA- it gets hot as a mofo!
