Sending it off to be done or having a local smith handle it isn't a bad idea. I didn't with mine and it got more involved than I anticipated.
I put Truglo TFO sight on my Gen4 G19. (yeah I know, not Trijicon but I like em') I had to turn down a socket (can't remember the size) to a really really small diameter to access the nut for the front sight. Then, I made a homemade sight pusher from some scrap aluminum blocks and long bolts. So, after making the custom tools it was easy to install the sights, but I work in a machine shop so fabricating the sight pusher and turning down a socket was something many people wouldn't be able to easily do. |

I sent mine off 6Jan16 via FedEx 2 day, cost me $6 because I get a discount due to my job. Glock received it on 8Jan16. Got a call on 12Jan16 from Glock saying I didn't add the tax in, DOH!! Worked it out and slide was returned to me on 18Jan16. I totally stripped it before I sent it and it was returned with all new parts and the night sights. For about $68 you can't beat it I think.

Total time from shipping to return was 10 days. Both slides came back with new internals, but only the 27 came with a new RSA. It was a Gen 3 model 27 and they sent the newer Gen 4 style of RSA that they are using on all Gen 3 and 4 model 27s now, so it was an upgraded part. |

Total bill was $61 including shipping I did not strip/disassemble the slide. Very happy! |

Sent a 17 and a 26 slide in for sights. Glock received them on 1/21. They called me a few days later for CC info. Still hadn't heard anything as of today. Just called and they told me they both shipped today. Took a little longer that I would have liked but so be it.
I sent both slides in stripped. When the tech called for CC info, he stated they would be returned with all new internals. He didn't mention RSA but I'll update that info when I receive them. For those of you who sent them in, was the return shipping overnight? 2nd day? Ground? |

I'm told it's not hard to damage them removing or reinstalling them. They are super cheap. |

This was a good deal that I didn't realize was out there. I prefer different sights on my defense type guns, but I sent in my 20SF slide a couple weeks ago for the simple upgrade.
Slide(100% stripped to include sights) sent 17 January. Received slide with installed night sights and all internals on 5 February. Test fired on 7 February. I forgot how fun 10mm is. Great deal overall. |

Just got a 42 slide back, took about 2 weeks total. Didn't want to take a chance of figuring sales tax differently than Glock so I just asked them to call for payment rather than mail a check with the slide. I shipped the slide USPS flat rate and Glock returned it via FEDEX. They even sent an email with tracking information which I didn't expect but appreciated.
Sights are bright, bigger dots than Trijicon HD's but so far seem like a great fit for the gun. Sight picture is dramatically improved day and night over the stock plastic placeholders. Overall I still prefer the Trijicon HD style sights and I feel like the Trijicons are better quality overall, but for about $70 (including shipping to Georgia) I have no complaints. As carry gun sights they're great- No sharp edges and they are relatively low profile while remaining easy to see. Thanks to advice from this thread I knew to strip the slide and like everyone else who's done the same I received it with all new parts. No recoil spring, but everything else. Also I did not think of asking for my old sights back and, as others have noted, I didn't get them back with the slide. It doesn't bother me because I can not think of a reason I would ever reinstall the factory sights. |

Sent my Glock 20 slide to them on 1/25 and received it back on 2/9 - just over two weeks. Very satisfied with work done and inclusion of new internals (sent stripped).
Was at my Dad's over the weekend and stripped his slides to sent in (19 & 26). Sending off my 26 and 17 slides tmw for the same work. |

I prefer truglo but for the price these are nice. Glock has charged my card so they have the slide, total was 60.99 for the sights mounted, sights and return shipping, plus I sent mine in stripped so I assume they will return it with all new internals. will post some pix when it shows up. EDIT: slide showed up today, complete, I sent it in stripped and they put all the new stuff back in it. sights look good, as a side note I found out that the tru glo tfo do not work well on the 19C it filled the sight with carbon and it stopped glowing as bright.....  So that slide will be sent off to Glock to have new sights installed later in the spring. |

Mailed two slides through USPS on 1/29 and got them back on 2/9. Like everyone else, I sent them in stripped and they sent them back with all new parts, which was really nice considering one of the slides was a 25 year old ex-cop G17 Gen 2 with an unknown round count and maintenance history.
The only thing I noticed that is out of the norm from everyone else is that Glock did not charge me sales tax. |

LA is not on Glock's individual State tax list so any work or Blue Label purchase is tax free. |

Sent mine off today. Called and spoke to rep at Glock who told me it would be fine to just put my credit card info down and they would charge accordingly for tax if needed. Not a big deal to me, only a few dollars. He did however mention to
insure the slides for $180.00 each as that is the replacement cost for damaged ones. Found this odd so I made sure to pack them heavily as well as take out insurance. $17.48 to ship. |

Sent mine in hoping to get some good cheap sights. Well the sights are good and the service was great. They do a good job on packaging for return shipping and didn't take long.
Now on to the cheap part... well I was out of town and had my wife send the slide in to get the sights installed. Filled out the paperwork and left everything for her just to send it in. Welllll next day air and $150 dollars I don't think I got the best sights for the money haha! She read the sheet and thought the slide was a firearm needing next day air shipping  . Besides that I'm happy with the sights haha
