I don't know-- I haven't tried the integrally compensated slide, but the RDP compensator definitely reduces muzzle flip and turns the recoil into more of a controlled push than a snap. That being said, I found that it was most beneficial with the flush fit 11 round magazines because my pinky is tucked below the grip in that configuration and it was like night and day in terms of the improvement in making quick follow up shots on target. With the longer magazines I found that the compensator helped improve my accuracy without noticeably faster shots. I have mixed feelings about it because it is very loud when at a covered range and I'm not sure I really like the increased noise because it makes me want to cut the range session down to about 100ish rounds instead of 200. Though this may be the case with the integrally compensated slide as well. |

Frames are swappable between standard Hellcat and Hellcat Pro. If you put a regular Hellcat slide on a Hellcat Pro frame, you will have a longer dust cover that could possibly fit flush with an external compensator. I don't see a reason You couldn't chop the frame yourself to fit Hellcat magazines. Just remember to measure twice and cut once (well, maybe cut three times, REAL CAREFULLY). Since they are directly swappable, I guess people just obtain the frame they want. I could see someone buying both and selling the HC slide & HCP frame to someone wanting to run a compensator and keeping the HCP slide and HC frame. But a DIY job isn't uncommon in the Glock and clone world. Just grab a short mag and go to it. |
