I thought it was as simple as mailing it FedEx UPS, but after reading their sites it seems like there's more to it.

you mean FFL?

It has to go FedEx or UPS overnight, no USPS

ETA: It's sometimes cheaper to have your FFL ship it for you since they can send it USPS

With all the boating accidents reported the eels should be all set.

Ship handguns via FFLin your state.

Will FedEx UPS accept it from an individual to ship to a FFL?

As stated FedEx or ups. Ups has been the cheaper option in my experience. Also USPS has sent them ground before in my experience. I've told the clerk it's a handgun and 3 times they have sent it ground.

Yes and no..

The tards @ a UPS store will most likey give you grief and not ship.
Go to a UPS hub. No problem.
Fedx should be no problem either.

Print the label at home and drop it off at the hub.

Avoid the dumb shit.

True- I just sent a gun to Ruger. UPS satellite stores won't accept it. Take to a hub and get out your wallet. Most FFLs want a copy of the shipper's D/L to document where it came from for their log book.
Our local range gets guns delivered by USPS almost every day.

It is that simple. You'll have to pay through the nose to do it, but it's that simple.

As others have said, with UPS you can't ship it from a UPS Store. Has to be a UPS hub. And it has to (by their policy, not law) go by air service, which is super expensive. Your cheapest option is to find a friendly/willing FFL dealer to ship it to the other FFL for you.

First, USPS does not offer "Ground". That's a level of service only offered by FedEx/UPS/DHL/etc.
Second, unless you are a licensed dealer you commit a felony by mailing a handgun via USPS.

They aren't "tards"...they are following the tariffs of UPS. UPS prohibits shipping firearms from any location other than a UPS owned facility.
(the UPS Store is not owned by UPS)

You can ship firearms from any FedEx Office location because they are owned by FedEx.

My FFL ships for me.  Cheaper then doing it myself.

Holy fuck, fedex was 70 bucks, including a box.

The shipmygun site quoted me 45, plus I'm guessing at least another 10 to the GYM I used.

So I would have saved at most 15, meh.

UPS stores are NOT ALLOWED to ship guns.
PERIOD.

They are franchises and NOT part of the actual UPS 'owned and operated' system.

I need to find an FFL near me that’ll ship for me. No one seems to want to do it, and if they do, they said the fee will be too high to make it worthwhile.

I want to ship it to ATEI so my only option may be UPS

No, I'm right. USPS has a service called "Retail Ground" and you cannot legally use it to ship a handgun.
But I'll wait why you read the USPS regs.

I just looked that up.  Is the price you are quoted the actual price or does the shop add additional to that.

Reason being is the shop I picked has a price listed of $30 to ship plus paperwork which comes close to $50

On the site is shows  me a cost of $28 which is fantastic compared to the $35 I normally pay

I looked it up. Looks like they want you to ship from a local FFL and they will charge a fee in addition to the fee charged by Buds.  I can get a transfer at my FFL for $35

I also see where individuals can drop their gun off at a local hub. How does that work. I don't see a selection to send individually
