Kensight Elliason Rear Sight

I found this and it has me interested. The Colt forum gives it good reviews, and I like the fact that Colt used Elliason sights in the past.

I can`t find any more info, no installation how to on youtube, no installation instructions on the Kensight website or online anywhere that I can see.

Does anyone here have one and can comment on it?

Kensight now makes the original Colt Accro and Ellison Target rear sights, and a Ellison-type rear sight for the New Python.
Wilson Combat also make a sight to fit the New Python and it gets great reviews.
Most people are buying the Wilson from Midway who usually have it in stock.

To install a rear sight on the Colt revolvers, both old and new.........

Use a 1/16" roll pin punch to push out the cross pin through the frame, from Left to Right.  Don't slip and scar up the frame around the hole.

Unscrew the elevation screw until the sight comes off.
If it's an original type Accro, be careful not to let the small cross pin that passes through the leaf and the elevation screw.
If the pin falls out, the elevation screw will come out and you'll lose the two TINY ball bearings and the tiny spring in the elevation screw.
Immediately the sight comes off, wrap tape around the leaf and elevation screw to prevent the pin from falling out.

Depending on the type sight, there will be one or two small springs that fit under the sight, insert them in the recesses.

Put the replacement sight on the frame and start the elevation screw a few turns.  Be careful not to cross thread it.
With the sight held by the elevation screw, press the front of the sight leaf down and push the roll pin in from the Right side, making certain it goes through the hole in the sight leaf, and through the frame hole on the other side.
This is made easier by using a short section of pin as a slave pin to align the frame and sight leaf holes.

Tighten the elevation screw all the way down to test for proper assembly and function.  Raise the sight a couple of clicks and sight in from there.

I might do this.  The factory sight on my new 3 inch Python is a bit of a joke with the set screw for tension.  I am going to at least shoot it first before spending money on it though.
