I won a used Kimber K6S DC for a decent price and finally was able to pick it up.  I’ve been eyeing one for awhile to carry as I find a revolver grip is easier for me to conceal than my hellcat grip, especially when it’s hot and I like to wear UPF polyester shirts that print easily.
My usual carry choices are a hellcat and a 627 PC 8 shot N frame.  The K6S fills the gap between the two.

Looking for a leather OWB holster for it.  Does anyone have experience with using leather holsters for a j frame, LCR, king cobra, etc. and having them work with a K6S?  I purchased a Harry’s Holsters icon 2.0 for AIWB carry and it works well with the limited carry time I have on it so far.

A quick range report.
The revolver came with LOK grips.  They feel great in the hand, and have plenty of surface area to hold on to.  Unfortunately this comes at a price and they aren’t quite as easy to conceal.  I’ll give them a whirl but may end up with more of a boot grip.  LOK does make a shorter grip that still has the palm swell that interests me but they’re spendy at $90.  I did some offhand seven yard shooting at a splatterburst 3” bullseye targets array and could keep my 38 special 158gr RNFP reloads around 4” groups.  38’s are pleasant to shoot.  I brought six 357 magnum 125gr XTPs over H110 for the fun of it.  The LOK grips help keep the revolver from twisting upwards but it’s uncomfortable and feels like they are sanding the web of the thumb.  Otherwise the 357s weren’t as bad as I was expecting.

The trigger pull feels nice and smooth, with what feels like a shorter length of pull than my s&w’s and gp100.  The trigger bow itself is somewhat small but I didn’t have any issues.

I prefer the Ruger style of cylinder release.  Glad to see Kimber feels the same.  Point the muzzle to the sky, hit the ejector rod, and all the brass falls out, both 38 and 357.

This model comes with tritium insert front and rear sights. They glow in the dark, work fine for day time, and have rounded edges for less chances of snags.  38 did require a high POA as it shot a bit low.  From what I’ve read that’s normal.

The fit and finish is superb.  Overall I’m pleased with the gun.

I have a three inch.  Interesting platform, I like it.  I put Hogues on mine, much as  I dislike them it did tame recoil a bit.  Haven't come up with a holster yet.  J frame will be too small.  Colt D frame might work, the shape is a bit different.

My 3" is my EDC, but I had to swap in the night sights.  The Combat Core grip was comfy to shoot, but even my wife commented on it when IWB; I switched out to hogues.

I think it's a MTW or TRW holster or something like that.  Very well designed, comfy all day at 4 o clock IWB or AIWB.

Had been looking for a 3" DC model for a long-assed time, and stumbled across this one for a decent price on the EE several years ago.

I have three Kusiak Leather holsters for various handguns.  The work and fit are first class.  Not the cheapest but worth every dollar.

I use a Galco for my 3" K6s DASA that is shown as an accessory on Kimber's web site. I ordered directly from Galco. It doesn't have the embossed Kimber logo, but it was a little cheaper. It hugs the revolver in tight for good concealability.

I replaced the grips with rubberized Hogues to soften the hellish recoil of a full-power 158 gr. load.

You'll love the K6s.
