I also replaced the plastic lens with glass which wasn't easy either because the lens is pressed in while warm. I cracked three glass lenses before I was able to get one pressed into place. I'm afraid I have no good news for you unfortunately. The only way I found was to get that negatively wired pill and I feel like I was lucky to come across one. Wish I had better news to share and good luck. I love these lights and this one is going to die with me. EDIT: i wanted to add one thing. Some people say they were able to reverse the batteries in their units and then use a standard P60 drop in. I tried and tried this but it never worked with my light. The TLR-7A is what the TLR-7 should have been from the beginning.
