How do they shoot compared to a regular g26?  Talking about a G26 frame with a G19 slide.  Lone wolf has a dust cover that you can put to cover the guide rod/spring.

I almost bought the parts to make one of these about a year ago and never followed through with it.  Im curious to see what others think.

Here is the archived thread

I should probably just buy the adapter before it goes out of stock again.

Or just chop the grip on a 19 so you keep the rail and have better options than a tlr6.

That's my plan with one of my subcompact P80 frames. I will be going with a Gen 4 G19 slide, and a "Gen 4 to Gen 4" Lone Wolf slide adapter, whenever they finally get the black version back in stock.

I've seen pics of Gen 3 G19 slides on 26 frames, and the adapter is tapered due to the smaller recoil spring hole on the slide. Looks weird, IMO. The Gen 4 with adapter looks much cleaner.

Not my pic, but this is a P80 subcompact frame with Gen 4 G19 slide on it:

Amazing how they can put a rail on a subcompact P80 frame but not an OEM one...

I agree. I'm surprised Glock hasn't done it yet. There's really no downside to it.

I really don't want to chop down a 19 but I would like to have a rail.  Unfortunately the P80 isn't an option for the application Im using it for, it needs to be a Glock.

I just run a 19 conversion barrel in a G27.  Same thing without the mass or expense.

Where can I find a pic of the gen 3 19 slide w/ gen 3 adapter on the 26 frame?

I have a 26L(chopped 19). It carries better because more mass and length below belt line than a 26 did for me. Shoots better for same reasons.

Alright I just pulled the trigger (pun unintended) on a RMR Gen4 G19 slide from Brownells.  Came out to 168$ with coupon code MER.

I hope I don't regret it.  I guess I can always get a G26 slide later, and put this slide on a G19 size frame.

My other main reason for doing this was because its way cheaper than buying a non RMR cut slide and paying someone to do the machining.

@Jupiter7 Who did the cut on yours?  I see some that look good and some that look like they were done by a blind man with a rasp.

I don't like the Gen4/Gen3 tapered look that using a Gen 3 slide gives you, personally. Good choice on going with a Gen 4 slide.

26's don't have rails.  Those pics are 17's on 19 frame

I know. But the adapter will look the same with a compact slide on a subcompact frame. There is no difference from the adapters used on a fullsize slide/compact frame combo. They all use the same adapters.

I don't really mind the way the gen3 looks, but I got a gen4 slide.  I asked lone wolf how long til restock of the black and they couldn't tell me, so I guess I'll just get the gen4 and paint it.
