I don't like the way the stock baseplate on the Micro Dagger mags bows out, so I have been looking for an affordable alternative. I came across this new product the other day so thought I would share it here. I am not affiliated with this site, but have tried a couple of his products and they are good to go.  The flex bothered me, a printed baseplate isn't going to satisfy my desire to be able to drop the mag without damage. Only picture I've got handy; Custom Machined Concepts (https://cmconceptsusa.com/collections/frontpage) and a Grit Grips magwell. There are/were also some files online for printing your own and extensions but I wanted aluminum for durability even though it really sucks paying more for the base plate than a new magazine. I see few complaints about the Micro mags, but the bowing just did not inspire confidence in me so I bit the bullet and bought aftermarket pieces. Zero problems with them fitting or functioning. |

Just saw this post. A good friend of mine owns Weaporize, so I can tell you a little about them. One thing is that the printed versions are prototypes, and they’re being manufactured somehow. It’s all over my head, but the finished product is clean. Secondly, they’re basically indestructible. He hasn’t posted it publicly, but he’s torture tested these to an insane level. I don’t think he’s dropped one out of a helo yet, but I’m trying to talk him into it. Any questions you guys have, I can pass along to him. Or I might be able to talk him into opening an account if you want to talk to him directly. |

| You must have the gen 1 baseplates. PSA made a change not long after the full release of the micro. I have newer mags that do not bow. |

Brand new 3rg gen, red follower mag. Just loaded 15 rounds of 115gr Blazer Brass. It's hard to tell so I added the light below thinking it might help. It's bowed- and that's the initial loading and it's only been loaded for five or ten minutes now.  Will it get worse, I don't know, will it puke rounds if I drop it, again, I don't know, but I will be replacing it with aluminum ones. Attached File |
I was going to wait until I had a chance to shoot with it first before posting a review, but life keeps getting in the way and I haven't made it up to the farm. After kingpin posted about them I bought one of the standard, black (+0) Weaponize baseplates to try. Shipping was fast and packaging was excellent and the owner emailed me to ensure I was happy with my purchase. Out of the package the finishing looks good with no flashing or rough edges. Installation took a second longer than the thinner factory plate as you have make sure the crossed cannon logo lines up with the opening on the plate but it's still easy to use the tip of a small screw driver to align it. No problems with inserting it or dropping free even with my magwell (Grit Grips). I cycled full mags worth of ammo by hand with no problems then left it loaded. It's been fully loaded since then and so far no bowing. As I said, I'd hoped to shoot with it just to confirm no issues but I can't imagine why it wouldn't be fine. I've got a couple more magazines that need baseplates so I plan to order two of the +2s to try.  The version I got https://weaporize.com/products/wpz-dmz |

I have a bunch of the excess arms plus 0, and plus 2s. They have been fine in my Alpha Foxtrot S15 and a few Glock 43X. My step son dropped one of his PSA mags on the ground while loaded and the stock base pad came off and sprayed rounds all over, so the bowing is definitely a possible issue with those mags. Other then that they are great, they work way better then the S15 mags for me. |
