| Has anyone ever purchased and/or used anything from Mitch Rosen’s Express line of holsters? I’m wanting a horizontal shoulder holster and have to believe that anything Mitch Rosen is better than Galco, Craft, or the other offerings. |

I have 5JR Express holsters for 5 of my pistols. They are fantastic. They used to be a fantastic deal before he raised his prices, but they are still a really good value. They are far better than anything Galco makes. Haven't tried his Express shoulder rig, but I'm sure it's equally as good as his belt holsters. IMO, the ONLY thing Galco makes that is worth what they charge is their shoulder rigs. I've got Jackass rigs for my Glocks and Sigs, and they work very well, but I got a great deal on them. I would buy anything Rosen makes except his Premier snap-on belt holster, because the snaps he uses fail and then he gets pissy about fixing them. |
| Mitch Rosen's work is legendary. Sometimes the holster will need a break-in period to get the holster to withdraw smoothly but no big deal. I have a beautiful dress belt made by him that enabled me to carry my 1911 without looking tactical. He makes top quality stuff. |

You can't go wrong with Mitch. If you want leather then you can't do any better. I bought a couple of belts and a holster from him over 30 years ago. The brown belt has been my EDC belt. It looks a little rough now, but I still wear it everyday. The black belt only gets worn with a suit or jacket, it still looks and feels perfect. A couple of years ago I bought another brown belt for dress wear because the original one was just not pretty enough anymore. About 15 years ago I bought another Mitch holster. I've worn that one even more than the first and it's a fabulous holster. If you are going to order up some Mitch stuff, now is the time, because he's got to be getting pretty long in the tooth and who knows how much longer he'll be around. If you can, it's worth a visit to his shop in NH to get fitted in person. However, be warned that Mitch is a very opinionated guy. It's his way or the highway. If you want something he doesn't make, well, if he hasn't already made it by now he's not going to. You can get a taste of that in this audio interview that he did a couple of years ago. | I have an express Mitch Rosen cuban brown holster, single mag pouch and belt for my SA Emissary that I wear to Church. (In Gods favorite caliber, of course.) It is a spectacular piece of craftsmanship. This is my 3rd belt plus I just ordered a new black one. They have replaced all of my other leather belts. |
| I have two Mitch Rosen OWBs, both 5JRs. One is a full detail mahogany with thumb break for a 5-inch 1911 and the other is a black Express for my J-frame. Fit and finish are excellent and they’re very comfortable. The full detail is nice (and gorgeous), but I don’t miss it for the revolver. |
