Looking at getting a 43x/48 and mounting an optic. What plate/optic combos do you prefer?

I don't run plates anymore. But one handgun still has the Holosun EPS carry which comes with a plate. It works well.

I now grind the rear lugs off and shorten the front 2 lugs. Optics sits lower. DPP does make great plates. Have a couple on my larger guns.

I have a Calculated Kinetics 507k plate for G48 MOS that works well so far.

Sig RomeoX Compact. Direct mount to my 43X and was a great RDS.

My most carried off duty gun is this G48 with Holosun EPS Carry

I did not get the MOS version but instead had it milled by Jagerwerks to get it as low as possible in the slide and avoid using a plate which can be an additional failure point in the system.

Jagerwerks offers a Speed Cut which deletes the rear iron sight relying on the rear notch made into the optic. That’s paired with a Dawson front sight.

I prefer all black rear with either a black or fiber optic front on all my guns for irons.

The gun is carried in a Tenicor holster either appendix or OWB in cooler weather.

I have the eps carry on a 43X MOS and 48. The 48 was a direct mill, the 43X is mounted with the plate that came with it.
