Didn't know if I'd like the HKP comp but once I got it installed I love it. Haven't shot it yet but even dropping the slide the gun doesn't move.

Woah!!  That thing is awesome.  I really need to pick up a comp like that for my USP 45.  A thread on the build or is it all in this thread?

Kind of here. It’s on hiatus for a little bit though.

Picked it up today, second VP9. IMO these are the best striker fired pistol available. I own, Glocks, M&Ps, Steyrs, Daggers, Sigs. And while they all have their charms, the VP9 just has the combination of quality, ergonomics, trigger, excellent sights.

Did you buy it as a V3 or convert it?

It took me years to find a V3 and then ultimately I put an LEM kit in it.

I bought it as a V1, got tired of waiting myself for a V3 to turn up.

In my personal opinion, an HK45c is still the sexiest handgun ever made. Just saying.

I want to argue that but I can’t. You’re right. I have two HK45Cs. I want another based on that pic.

Not a pistol from HK per se.... but my buddy gave me a catalog from 2005.  We went to SHOT Show that year, and he grabbed a few and saved them.  When I bought the USP Expert, he dug one out and gave it to me.  Catalog even lists the P7M8, though it says "out of production, limited availability."

First HK, gonna turn it into a Mk 24. Suppressor is currently in jail, did the v3 conversion to it, all that's left is tracking down the correct iron sights and the Crimson Trace laser.

In the same boat as you, congrats! They shoot amazingly.
Start looking around for the LBT holster as they are rare and spendy in the hot patterns.

I'm in the Mk 23/24 Facebook group, gonna ask if they're gonna organize another group buy once I get the whole thing pieced together. Mainly gonna be a range toy so the holster isn't a dire need at the moment

What are the correct sights for the Mk 24 if I may ask?  The raised height sights in your photo are not correct?

They're Meprolight low height irons, still unsure whether they're the Tru-Dot or Hyper Bright ones. They were the standard on the CT for a while, I guess suppressor height irons weren't super widespread in 2011. I'm sure the tall sights will work far better with a can, but sometimes you gotta make sacrifices for the clone. It'll also make finding a holster slightly easier.

ETA: they are the Tru-Dots, for anyone wondering.
