After waiting 48 excruciating hours for my order to come in, today I picked up my P30S .40.

Will a P30 40 fit in the same holster as a P30 9mm?

I hope so, because I just ordered one.

I think the frame & other dimensions are the same size.

Yes, yes we do! The P30 is really an excellent pistol! I found it a much easier transition from 1911's than I thought it would be. Great shooter that I highly recommend. They fit your hand like a glove...

My first gun, a HK P30 9mm V3. I used to hate HK, because all of their guns that I held felt like giant, uncomfortable bricks. I was initially set on a 1911, but after looking at ammo costs, and being swayed by the capacity argument, I decided to go with a 9mm. The first time I picked this gun up, I knew I had to have one.

Still kicking myself for not shooting a M&P first before purchasing though. I don't know why, but I completely ignored them. :(

Added some grip tape in some key spots. More traction = :D

Just got back from the range. It ate 340 rounds, no problems at all. Mix of 115gr, 124gr +P, and 124gr JHP. So much for the break-in period.

just an observation, your magazine is loaded backwards.  Now for a serious question, how does the p30 compare to the usp compact 9mm in size?

It's an HK thing.

If you have to ask you wouldn't understand.

Thanks.

The grip is the only reason I bought the P30. In fact, I used to be a HK haterade drinker. USPs felt like giant stupid bricks in my hands.

Here's a pic of the USP45 Tactical that I traded my SS USP45 for. Hopefully have it in my hands at the end of the week/early next week. Will have better pics then.

Thanks! Yep Hopefully later this year. Probably going to get a Gemtech Blackside. But I need to know..does the Blackside disassemble for cleaning? That's a huge selling point for me, as I plan on shooting lead a lot.

Pics for the top of the page!

Are you going to buy an aftermarket barrel for it? I know Glocks have polygonal rifling and don't handle lead well, not sure about HK but I'd imagine it's the same situation. Great USP btw!

Nah, just going to use the stock barrel. I shot lead through my last USP45F and it had no problems. I just don't do much rapid fire and I make sure I keep it clean. Thanks!

Another new owner of a USP Tactical! When my buddy said, "I'll sell it to you for $850." I knew I had to grab it. My only problem is the M5 light (that I already had) is super loose on the rail. Anybody know a solution, or where to get a slightly bigger bar that fits in the slot of the rail? It has the same problem when I put it on the daniel defense rail on my AR...   Pics!
