Anyone have recent experience getting their USP Compact milled for an optic? I was originally dead set on Langdon Tactical but then saw some poor work they did in the past and also that they use an aluminum plate (not sure if it really matters that much or if it's online people overblowing it). Then I was looking at the Wright Armory i-Dot system but saw that some people have reported WA tacking on other expenses and taking a really long time getting the work done. Theeeen i looked into Dual Hammer Inc, who mill to direct mount the optic on the slide (no plate) but I've seen some people say there's not a way to get enough thread engagement for RMR optics without a plate system and direct mount is better for like a Holosun EPS. Just wanted to get some more current info. Most of the threads I'm finding are dated, for example people complaining about Langdon doing crappy cerakote a year ago but now they offer nitriding. This thing is my EDC and I actually DO carry every day so don't want to screw it up by going the wrong direction with this. Thanks! Attached File |
