Having issues with my recently acquired P10C… During dry fire the trigger is failing to reset when I hold the trigger down and rack the slide.

This is a used gun that I just took ownership of so I don’t know what the original owner did to it or how long it was sitting uncleaned before I picked it up. Today I stripped it down to pins and springs and cleaned it, and that did seem to help somewhat, but it’s still failing to reset far more often than I’m comfortable with.

Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it?

**Edited to add…

One thing I have noticed that might be causing the issue is there is some rotational play in the striker and it might be just enough for the tab on the trigger bar that resets the striker to occasionally miss it when the slide reciprocates back.

If it's stock I don't have any suggestions.  If it has an aftermarket trigger that would be a good place to start.  Sorry I couldn't be of any real help.

My only experience with a P10 not resetting was after I installed an aftermarket trigger in it (Overwatch Precision). It ended up being that the bore of the trigger for the pin that holds it to the trigger bar was a little undersized and causing binding. OP replaced the trigger and I haven't had issues since then.

So on the advice of another on a different forum I contacted CZ-USA. I explained my issue and told them that since I bought the gun secondhand I understood that it wouldn’t be covered under warranty and had no problem paying for the repair so long as the gun could be made to function reliably… They just sent me an RMA last night. So I think, since they’re covering the shipping cost and didn’t mention anything about the cost of gunsmithing, that they’re going to cover it under warranty. If so, that’s really cool and unexpected. Their gun accuracy and ergonomics have done a lot to impress me already, but covering a secondhand gun under warranty would definitely go far in turning me into a fanboy.

Not sure if this will be helpful, however I have an Apex trigger in mine.  It requires a specific backplate to function correctly, so there is a possibility that yours may not have it or something of that nature if it’s aftermarket.  Just a thought.  Great little guns, hope yours comes back in good shape.
