Yup, they’re making it again. .380 and .32 ACP for the PP and .32 ACP for the PPK, IIRC.

Are they all stainless with the black pistols just being coated?

Not a fan of the new beaver tail.   I guess it serves a purpose.

I shot an old PP or maybe PP in .22 (Its been three decades) but that damn thing was a tack driver with no effort.

At 15 yards was dumping them all into a playing card.

What finish is on the black one? Is it a PVD type finish or a Melonite type finish?

I am guessing the latter as it is "black" and not "oxide black" or "blued"

Gonna have to spring for another.  I love the PP.  More so than the PPk by a large margin.

I bought a couple of Austrian police surplus PPs in 7.65 Browning about 10-12 years ago when they were coming in to the US at around $350-$400 in excellent condition. The polish and blue on these Manurhin made PPs is superb.

I also have the British L66A1 sanitized version of the PP in .22 LR.

I saw a picture online of a black PPK and it looked so nice.  I emailed Walther customer service this AM to inquire about the finish.  They responded promptly.

Tennifer over stainless.

I might need me a new PP with this finish.

The PP in .32ACP is about perfect, for me. This Manurhin surplus police pistol was the first use of my C&R license. Got it from Centerfire for $249 way back when.

I have two.  Both are surplus police pistols from Europe.   My daily is well worn but accurate and dead nuts reliable.  The other is nearly mint and is my backup.

Really thinking HARD about getting the stainless .32 PP....I mean REALLLLY thinking about it.  HARD.

Don't think I can resist any longer.  Probably gonna snag one ASAP.

yeah that S&W beavertail absolutely sucks. I’ve had 3 or 4 PP & PPKs over years so I decided to pick up a new PPK. The beaver tail made shooting it miserable to the point it was cutting the web of my hand. I tried sanding the edges but ended up selling it in the end.

I must admit that I love how Walter softens EXACTLY all of the WRONG edges.  I swear they are doing it on purpose.

Posted this in the ppk thread, but if you qualify for the vip program, the discount is decent.
Only issue is that my black ppk has been on order with them since August.
