Seeing these at $300 shipped from Bud's now.  They look to be outstanding quality.  Maybe like the Girsan Regard?

I thought RIA (Rock Island) was Philippines (ARMSCOR), not Turkey?

FYI Girsan Regard has slight finger grooves.  The Melik appears to be smooth.

The “MC” version of the GIRSAN appears to be ribbed-for-your-pleasure free. At least on the grip. Ribs all over the place elsewhere. The GIRSAN is really only 92-(ish).

Are they 100% parts compatable?

I was able to easily install the 'G' kit in my Regard (not gen 3). Works great.

They’ve been sourcing shotguns from Turkey for awhile so this venture isn’t all that surprising.

BINGO... that was exactly why I was asking!

I have a 92FS, a commercial M9, and a 92 Brigadier. I did a "G" conversion and had bought four G kits cheap but to get the price I had to buy all four kits.

I always hated the standard safety/decocker of the 92.

There's this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hw1EX0Rdcd8

I'm not sure I would call the review "decent." Maybe sort-of OK.

For some strange reason at 1:15 he says the Melik weighs 5 pounds. That can't be right.

I politely challenged the statement about weight in the comments. Looks like my comment has been deleted now.

I posted a new comment just now. We'll see whether he responds or deletes it.

Just picked one up this week.   Fit and finish are excellent.  Everything looks toop notch.  Havent shot it yet.  I have dry fired it a few hundred times with a snap cap in it.

SA trigger pull is 3.5 lbs.  Feels a lot like my Beretta A4 in the trigger.

@W_E_G

It's not right, someone on reddit did a review and it's just shy of 2lbs unloaded:

At $300, I'm very interested if they're of decent quality, which they seem to be from what I'm seeing online.

Anyone know if these have the beretta-style oversized hammer pin and slide cut to stop the slide from being RPG’d into your face in the rare chance of a catastrophic failure?

I’m also curious if 92 barrels work for this as well

Yes, it has the oversized hammer pin and slide cut to stop the slide from coming off.

I just swapped entire slide assemblies between my Melik and an Italian Beretta 92FS.  The Beretta slide fits the Melik. But the Melik slide doesn't fit the Beretta

I didn't shoot it with the Beretta slide on it.

I'm just getting into the Beretta 92 series.  If you explain what all that means, I will look.  I have a Girsan as well.  I tried to google what you were asking and haven't came up with anything to help me figure out your question.

I think he means "slides on to existing frame."

The jargon that some folks use around here sounds a bit odd to me too.

I think he means like 92FS (what he is calling "S") vs 92F where the 92FS has a bigger head on the hammer pin, to prevent frame/slide separation dangers and the term "Slide to the eye" meaning the slide comes off and hits the shooter in the eye?

Have you stripped it yet? What do the insides look like?

Clean and smooth.  Exceptional machining.  It's beautifully made.

These have the oversized hammer pin in them.  With the groove milled in the bottom of the slide.

See above were I swapped the slides.

Looks like I got a lemon. I picked one up over the weekend. Trigger felt great out of the box in both da/sa. After two mags the hammer started falling to half cock with a slow double action pull. 1 in 3 trigger pulls resulted in a failure to fire. Zero malfunctions in single action.I believe it's a hammer sear/trigger bar/decocker lever timing issue. Anybody ever use rockisland's warranty?

You do realize the “slide to the eye” was eventually proven to have been the fault of the US government doncha?

It was due to expedited wear but the issue was still real. It was a design flaw that needed fixed.

If these have the newest locking block improvements to go with it they may be solid if they can run. Hopefully the guy above just had a one off.

Perhaps they’re as “interchangeable” as a beretta 92 locking block in a Taurus pt92 WECSOG way?

After seeing the above pictures, I am not impressed with the look of the build quality, casting, and machining on that thing.
Definitely the "beretta we have at home".

I have a turk made tisas 1911 and it's build quality and machining is as good as other 1911's I have seen. So I know the turks can make good guns.

Decent double action pull, crisp single action.  Would prefer the Turk 92 to a SIG M17.

Ran into this same problem. Even in dry firing, one in every 4-5 trigger pulls resulted in the hammer dropping to half cock. May have been a bad batch. But, kudos to PSA for awesome customer service on the return.

SA, average of 3 lbs 2 oz over 4 pulls.

DA, 8 lbs 13.8 oz over 7 pulls.
