Anybody running an RMR or SRO on their DE?

Got any pics?

I have been running an aimpoint on my 44 for 20 years now.  Yes the aimpoint is expensive but so is the eagle.  This optic on my gun has changed a lot of people's perception of the DE.  If you can hold the dot on the target, you are going to hit what you are aiming at.  I roll my own rounds for accuracy.

LaRue RMR mount is lower than the ADM QD RMR low mount.  Trijicon 2-screw pic rail RMR mount doesn't fit because DE top rail isn't true picatinny, spacing is off (so disappointing).
Also have a Trijicon MRO on my 10" barrel, ADM QD low mount.  Front lens cover flies open...
probably could use a touch of contact cement, or something.
IMHO, better to attach the optic to the barrel instead of the slide: barrel is stationary, slide reciprocates (violently).

It finally broke on me about ten years ago,
But I purchased a 44 around 1988, put the rail on it, and had an Aimpoint 1000 on mine.
I think it took the 357 batteries.

An Aimpoint T2 worked well and held up to the 50AE. It's super fun and accurate with a red dot. I wonder how smaller "pistol style" slide mounted red dots would hold up to the recoil.

I replaced the rear sight on my DE with a EGW RMR pattern mount, and added a Tacticon MRDS. So far after about 20 rounds it's not dead, lol.
