I've been searching for a pistol that my mom can feel confident in carrying and manipulating, still up in the air maybe an sw equalizer maybe something else.
I got to shoot and SW model 30 with 32 longs and quite liked it. So now I'm considering a j frame or equivalent in that size be it the new 632 and maybe an LCR. Looking around it seems LCRs are pretty much all In the 500-600 dollar range now, Is that just what they go for now? |

Yeah, they continue to command a high price for some reason. I paid $449.00 for my LCRX back in 2014, so I guess they've gone up since then.

Yeah that's what I thought they would be maybe a bit less , but now you can get j frames cheaper , like a 642 pro for around 460, regular 642s at 400. |

I think I paid $629 for my 9mm a year or so ago, its a good shooter as are my 38 and 22

I over payed for my LCR 357 by a couple hundred. I knew it was too high but I always wanted one but hadn’t seen one in a long time so I just grabbed it. Support your local gunstore and all. I like better than my old 640 J frame.

A lot of people get their mom a snubnose and then find out that it hurt their hand so they don't carry it. Just be sure it's in a caliber that she is comfortable shooting so she will take it with her when she needs it.
