Seen a Smith & Wesson 544 in 44-40 at a fun show today any info on would helpfull.
It is Texas trail head,

They're all for the Texas 150th anniversary. Not particularly rare, but not common either. All were .44-40 and 5". Some people, reloaders all, shoot theirs a bunch (should last about forever at .44-40 pressures). Most are safe queens, surely. But other than caliber aficionados or Texans, there's not a lot of desire out there. Almost every S&W collector would rather have a nice clean N frame magnum (or maybe a .44 Special) from the same time period.

I should add that there were 150 factory engraved guns that DO have collector juice, especially with the accessories, before someone comes along and tells me they have a super rare 544 that's worth thousands and I'm full of it.
