I just obtained one of these in a trade yesterday. It's in pretty good condition, the only problem is the recoil spring assembly and central block don’t have the tension when fitting into the barrel and slide. Any suggestions? I am indeed able to get it to work but it's sort of a pain but now I found the solution to make it work every time. Is this much ado about nothing? Looks like a design change from Stoeger. Numrich gun parts even has/shows a different block but it doesn't say for what caliber it is. The one I had years ago, from what I remember, I had to assemble the slide and frame with it upside down. So you rest your slide on the sights or hold it and attach the frame to it while the slide is resting on the sights/top of the slide. |

HammerStriker has a good video explaining the various guide rods, Central Blocks, etc. Mine has a plastic guide rod and Central Block without the 'hook' to secure it.'
